Our website includes a year/make/model selector specifically so customers receive the proper part for their motorcycle. In this case the selector was not used, and a non-compatible fuel cap was purchased. This was not a shipping or fulfillment error on our end, the item that was ordered is the item that was sent. We do process returns, but return shipping and any restocking adjustments related to missing or damaged original packaging are handled according to our standard return policy. We understand the frustration when a part doesn’t fit, and we always prefer customers use the vehicle selector (or contact us before ordering) to avoid this situation. A quick clarification on availability: our site does not display “In Stock” status for Akrapovič products. We are not the importer we source through Akrapovič's USA distributors. Due to the current steel tariffs (significant duties on certain stainless systems), no new inventory of those specific SKUs has been imported into the U.S. for many months. The system you ordered falls into that category, which is why it could not be fulfilled as a stainless version. When we learned it was unavailable, we contacted you the next day, offered alternatives, and confirmed a titanium version was available (at a higher cost, as expected). As a small family business, our margins on these products are already very tight, so large discounts that would put the sale into a loss simply aren’t possible for us. We understand the frustration when an order can’t be completed as planned, especially on a high value item. Inventory constraints like this are driven by the manufacturer’s distribution and the current tariff situation, not by our internal stock management. We appreciate that you found the communication responsive, and we’re sorry we weren’t able to make the original stainless system work. A few points of clarification: the price shown on the website for those forged wheels had not yet been updated to reflect the current tariff impact. As soon as we identified the error, we reached out to you quickly to correct it rather than process the order at an incorrect price. On items where the margin is already essentially zero, absorbing a several hundred dollar difference is not something we can do without taking a loss. We understand that incorrect pricing is frustrating for the customer, and we take responsibility for the listing not being current. Our intention was simply to be transparent and resolve the issue as soon as it was discovered. We’re glad you were able to source the wheels elsewhere and wish you the best with the build.

To clarify: we do offer price matching, but it is limited to authorized sellers and must account for the full landed cost. The European listing you referenced does not include U.S. duties, tariffs, or shipping to your door. Once those additional costs are factored in, the comparison is no longer equivalent. Our policy (which is stated on the site) excludes price matching against unauthorized or overseas sellers for this reason. When the requested match fell outside those guidelines, we were unable to honor it and cancelled the order rather than process it under incorrect terms. We understand the frustration when a price match is declined. If you have a competing offer from an authorized U.S. retailer that includes comparable total cost, we’re happy to review it.
