They don’t communicate that they don’t accept refunds for discounted items, neither on the emails they promote their sales, nor on the checkout page. It’s hidden within their policy page. It’s definitely a dark pattern move, and a bit gross for a digital product. They refused to refund me when I tried cancelling within minutes of making the purchase too.

Motion Beast 2 I found to be very hard to stay engaged with. How the lessons are laid out and how the voiceover speaks are very boring. The only explaination as to why he’s doing something is “This looks great”. I want to know why we’re doing things and how different motion is used to make it look real. The files supplied are also such a mess, found myself having to remake most of the files before starting to animate. Overall, wouldn’t recommend this course.

Wish the Marvelous Designer section was more complete. The other clothing is actually done in Zbrush not Marvelous Designer. The Substance Painter section is something new I learned and enjoyed. The rendering is in Blender and is okay. There is no rigging the model and making it dance like in the trailer sadly. Looking forward to the next course Science of Character Animation by Markus Magnusson!

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Every lesson's content matches exactly its description. For example, lesson 3 says that it will teach you the process of skirt creation in Marvelous Designer. It doesn't mention other clothing ;) Anyhow, we are taking your feedback into consideration. It helps us to optimise our courses presentation so they match precisely your expectations.

There is a lot of great content and ways to improve your workflow. I wouldn't call this a true beginner course, even though it starts at the very beginning. The pacing of the videos is pretty challenging, I had to start and stop frequently. Keeping your place in the video, while following in AE is hard, and even at .5 speed I struggled to keep a useful pacing. I think cutting the videos into smaller chunks, or having the teacher speak much slower would be really helpful.

Great investment! The courses cost a few hundred dollars but the skills they teach you are worth tens or thousand times more.
