If I could give zero stars, I would. I am a receiver and a international company from China made an agreement with mothership to deliver my furniture locally. By the time they were prepared to deliver my goods. I was out of the country, and I informed them that I would not be able to receive it until a week later. The international supplier also informed them that I would be out of the country and unable to accept the goods. To no avail, mothership still sent a driver to my home when I was not there. I informed the driver to take the goods back because I was not there to receive them.
As I returned, I reached out to arrange proper delivery and they made the supplier pay them extra to arrange a new delivery, even though they were not supposed to deliver the last time. Now they are constantly raising the price and not being truthful about whether or not a truck will deliver my item. I am an attorney, and I will do everything in my power to report them to the Better Business Bureau and get them shut down.

Hi Bisola,
Thank you for sharing this, and I'm sorry the delivery turned into such a frustrating experience. I understand how upsetting it is to see the cost change after an attempt you weren't available for.
When a carrier attempts delivery and no one is there to receive the freight, a redelivery fee can apply. That said, I'd like to look into your shipment personally and see what we can do. Please email me at [email protected] with your shipping ID or bill of lading, and I'll follow up directly.

Shady and dishonest
This place is extremely shady and cannot be trusted. I had 10 pallets to be delivered, I recieved 7 because all the cases that were severely damaged, they re-arranged to be in the center of the pallets hoping I wouldn’t unload everything right away and of course they tried to get out of everything. Then the driver smashed a car, took out two of their doors and didn’t want to leave information.

Hi Erica,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take lost or damaged freight extremely seriously, and I am very sorry to hear about the distressing experience you described regarding your delivery and the incident with the driver.
I want to fully understand what happened here and investigate this thoroughly. However, based on the contact information listed on your review, I don't currently see any communication from the shipper who booked the freight for you about damage or a claim.
To help us look into this immediately, could you please provide your shipping ID or send me a copy of the BOL (Bill of Lading)? Please reach email me at [email protected] with this information so I can get to the bottom of this as quickly as possible.

If they don’t find a driver, you will not get your things
Let me explain first what this company is, besides absolutely horrible. They are basically Uber for freight. The problem here is that when they cannot find a driver to pick up your shipments, they simply do not deliver it.
One of my supplier’s freight forwarder used this service without telling us and we are now so deep in the hole, we don’t even know how to get our things.
Long story short, they missed a delivery date. When talking to the woman on the phone the second time, she tells me it will be delivered tomorrow. I asked her “can you guarantee that?” and she replies “No. if we don’t find a driver, we do not deliver it and we cannot tell you if or when we will find a driver”.
Of all my years dealing with freight and import, this is by far the worst experience I have ever had.
This company should just close down because eventually there will be lawsuits.

Hi Martin,
I am very sorry to hear about the frustration and stress this delayed shipment has caused you. We know how critical timely deliveries are to your operations, and I completely understand why you are upset, especially since you were unaware that your supplier's freight forwarder had routed the shipment through our platform.
Mothership operates as a digital freight network that connects shippers with a vast network of independent local carriers. While this model usually allows for highly efficient and flexible shipping, pickups are dependent on driver availability in the area. Because we rely on this independent network, we unfortunately cannot guarantee exact pickup or delivery times until a driver has officially accepted and been dispatched to the load.
It sounds like this process was not clearly communicated by the third party who booked the freight, and I apologize if our support team's explanation felt unhelpful during such a stressful moment. We never want to leave a customer in the dark.
We would like to look into this specific shipment to see what we can do to help right now. Please reach out to us directly at [email protected] with your shipment details or tracking number. I would like to personally investigate what happened.

Avoid Mothership company! Its a SCAM!
Everyone, please avoid using Mothership. It feels like a scam.
We had a delivery scheduled for Thursday, and the driver even called that morning to confirm that the shipment would arrive at 2:00 PM. Then, at noon, I suddenly received an email saying the delivery had been rescheduled to Friday. I had already taken the day off from work and hired two workers to help break down the pallets. Who is going to compensate me for those losses?
No one from Mothership called to inform me about the change to Friday. Then on Friday, the delivery didn’t happen again. I had to take another day off work, and still no delivery.
To this day, no one has called me. I can’t find any way to contact them. Emails go unanswered, and there is no phone support available. There seems to be no responsible person I can reach regarding this issue.
I honestly don’t know how this company stays in business. Their handling of customers is completely unacceptable and feels deceptive.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am truly sorry to hear about the frustration and inconvenience caused by the delivery delays and the disruption to your schedule.
We completely understand how critical timely deliveries and reliable communication are for your business. While our automated system is designed to send real-time email updates and keep our tracking page fully updated with the latest carrier information, it is clear that our communication fell short of your expectations in this instance.
I would like to personally look into what happened with your shipment and help resolve this for you. Please reach out to me directly with your MS# so I can review your case immediately. My email is [email protected].
I look forward to connecting.

Update 8/11/26
First, I want to sincerely thank you for your honesty and transparency in your recent Trustpilot review. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us understand our customers' experiences and improve our service.
I wanted to follow up with you directly regarding the unexpected charge you experienced. After reviewing your shipment, it appears the rebill was applied because the freight class had to be adjusted based on the actual dimensions of the freight.
Because the actual heights (80" and 79") were significantly taller than the declared 60" and exceeded 75 inches, XPO Logistics invoked their standard "Item 26 Sec. 2 - 75" Rule." Under this carrier rule, any piece with a height equal to or exceeding 75 inches is adjusted to a billed height of 96 inches.
This dimensional correction changed the total cubic feet and lowered the density to 7.356 PCF. Consequently, the carrier legally reclassified the shipment from Class 85 to Class 125. The disputed amount represents the legitimate carrier fee difference between the originally declared 60-inch Class 85 shipment and the actual inspected ~80-inch Class 125 shipment.
I understand that surprise adjustments like this are frustrating. I've attached the Inspection certificate for your records so you can review the specific adjustments made by XPO.
If you have any other questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Previously response:
Hi Nick,
I completely understand your frustration. Trust me, we absolutely hate when rebills happen just as much as you do.
To provide some context, every carrier on Mothership is strictly required to provide proof for a rebill and a clear explanation of why it occurred, such as a carrier inspection report verifying a discrepancy in weight or dimensions.
That said, we always want to stand up for our customers. We have a dedicated team focused on fighting these charges on your behalf. To improve this experience, we also just launched a brand new dispute process designed to provide much better transparency and documentation throughout the review.
We would love to get your feedback on this new process and see how we can make things right. Please reach out to me directly ([email protected]) with your MS#, so I can personally investigate your billing adjustments.

This company is horrible!
This company is horrible!
Stay away from using this company from any shipments. They seem to think they can just deliver anytime they want instead of confirming when someone will be available before attempting a delivery. After specifically telling them we are not open because of holidays they still chose to try to deliver and blame us for not being open. Asking them specifically to deliver on days we are open with no response. When we did receive a response it was with rudeness and unwillingness to help resolve the situation.
There is absolutely no way to call them or contact their customer service in any meaningful way. Will never do business with this company and ask all our suppliers to stay away. They are perhaps the worse freight company I have ever seen and had the displeasure of having to work with.

Thank you for sharing this feedback.

UPDATE
Multiple cancellations for delivery with no apparent reason . Received one call to verify if we had a forklift for a Tuesday delivery. We adjusted our schedule to accommodate the so called scheduled delivery only to receive an e- mail minutes before the promised delivery.
It has been 4 days in a row !
You will receive a “ do not reply e-mail “ , there is no option for contacts or updates .
This company presents a flashy website and that is the only highlight of this organization.
I will be following up with the appropriate complaints to any and all agencies that I can reach, inclusive the United States Department of Commerce , BBB and Franchise Board .
In today’s business environment, this particular company has “ 0 “ concern or customer centricity .
The multiple negative reviews are not by mistake they are real !
UPDATE :
Even though the negative experience with Mothership was real and frustrating, aligned with other reviews, a positive resolution emerged.
Communication is a key component to solving a problem. Upon receiving a call from Mothership ( by a real human ) for confirmation of a revised delivery date, I requested to speak with a Supervisor to which I was informed to expect a call back, which I obviously was extremely skeptical.
Within minutes, I in fact received a call from Mothership Support by an experienced and professional representative “ Rhea “. In discussing the issues and venting frustration with Rhea, she proceeded to explain the root cause of the multiple delays , confirm shipment, provide a contact number for further follow up in an efficient an customer centric approach in addition to apologizing for the company, advising that she would escalate my situation with upper management, “ stellar individual “ whom Mothership should retain and adopt her follow up process …. I would hire Rhea on the spot if available!
In addition , I received multiple calls from Mothership management “ Connor “, in an attempt to learn / listen to my complaint so that corrective actions could be taken.
With many years of business experience, I’ve heard many excuses and stories that deflect responsibility. This phone contact and extended conversation was far from such expectation, Connor was apologetic and interested in listening to my particular experience with Mothership, offering background information specific to my shipment …. No excuses and no BS, definitely acknowledging the issues with all complaintants and an offer to implement measures and solutions that will allow end users a better escalation path and contact with “ real people “ at Mothership.
Based on the interaction I had with Rhea and Connor I will be giving Mothership the opportunity with outbound freight from our company, following the tradition of “ everyone deserves a second chance “.
I look forward to writing a positive review for Mothership understanding that they need to improve on customer interaction and follow up.

We sincerely apologize for the experience you’ve had. Please know that we made multiple attempts to pick up from the designated pick up location and connected with the team who booked the freight. That said, we completely understand how frustrating it is when these efforts don’t result in a successful delivery.
It appears you’ve already connected with a team member via email, and I’ve escalated the need to improve communication internally. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas where we can enhance our service and processes.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
