A Mother’s Boutique is a MOM-owned and operated business. My son was born in July 2005. Becoming a mother changed my life and I decided that I wanted to help other new mothers to breastfeed. Breastfeeding isn't always as easy as one might expect - and I wanted to help as many new mothers as possible to be successful in their efforts to breastfeed their babies. A Mother’s Boutique is focused on helping new mothers breastfeed by providing all of the tools that new mothers need in one convenient location. From nursing tops to bathing suits to bras and breast pumps - A Mother’s Boutique carries everything that a new mother needs. I have selected the highest quality and most functional items (as well as many of my own personal favorites!) from several different designers to make sure that mothers shopping here get the best selection available. Last time I was a nursing mother, I had several bras that I was only somewhat happy with -- they fit okay, the clasps were easy, but the fabric was really thin and not very supportive. Bra annoyance was the last thing I needed, since I was having enough trouble with nursing as it was. This time around, I wanted to have some bras that fit really well, looked nice, and were still easy to use. I live too far away from the store (or any stores, really) to try them on, so I bought four, loved two of them, and returned the two I didn't love and bought additional colors in the two that I was keeping. It was so helpful to have a really big selection -- I was able to try on a few styles and find something that will really work for me. I'm glad that, whatever else may happen with nursing my next baby, at least I won't be worrying about my bras.

Love the bra for the most part. I would say it runs one size small. I've been professionally fitted by a person specializing in large cups and have tried on some different brands as well. The wires in the middle stick out bc the cups are too small. I would have returned it for a larger size had I realized that before I took the tags off. I realized it when I put a t-shirt on over it and I had a bump where the wires stick out. I'm sure if I were to get a bigger cup it would be awesome! I am also on the very first set of hooks so I could have gone up a band size. But I would rather have it tighter than too big. it will stretch eventually. LOVE the fact that they would have returned it had I not taken the tags off! LOVE that they have large cup sizes for small bands!!!!

The bra that you ordered has what is called a "flexible" underwire - so even when it fits you properly, it won't sit flush between your breasts like a regular underwire bra does. This type of underwire is better for nursing moms because it doesn't put the same kind of pressure on your milk ducts that a regular underwire bra does. If you haven't worn or washed the bra, we can still take it back - just send the tags along with your return and we'd be happy to fit you in a size that is more comfortable for you.
