A Mother’s Boutique is a MOM-owned and operated business. My son was born in July 2005. Becoming a mother changed my life and I decided that I wanted to help other new mothers to breastfeed. Breastfeeding isn't always as easy as one might expect - and I wanted to help as many new mothers as possible to be successful in their efforts to breastfeed their babies. A Mother’s Boutique is focused on helping new mothers breastfeed by providing all of the tools that new mothers need in one convenient location. From nursing tops to bathing suits to bras and breast pumps - A Mother’s Boutique carries everything that a new mother needs. I have selected the highest quality and most functional items (as well as many of my own personal favorites!) from several different designers to make sure that mothers shopping here get the best selection available. Based on my experience as a working mother, a stay-at-home mother and now a work-at-home mother, I have chosen items that will work for different kinds of mothers who are in different personal and professional parts of motherhood. I have chosen stylish business wear for the mother who is pumping at work or meeting her baby at lunch for nursing as well as comfortable casual wear for mothers who are on the go. I have also made sure to include stylish casual and dress wear for all types of occasions - for dressing up and dressing down.

Counterfeit Ameda Flanges

We ordered four Ameda flanges from this store, and it was immediately obvious upon first inspection that they were different from the ones that we were sent home with from the hospital - there was no Ameda branding at all on the actual flanges, the flange extension protrudes into the vacuum shaft so that it interferes with the bottom of the diaphragm, and, worst of all, the seal to the valve is undersized so that it leaks significantly and thus renders the flange useless. These defects were consistent across all four flanges. When this store was contacted about these issues, the owner was very indignant, insisting that the flanges were genuine, and refused to issue a return. We will never shop at this store again!

Steve, I'm so sorry that you are not pleased with your purchase. I believe I may have spoken with your wife on the phone (it was quite a long time ago, so I'm not sure if it was you or her). Ameda makes 2 types of replacement flanges - the ones you purchased: item #620549: http://www.mothersboutique.com/bpafreeflange.html and ones that look more like the ones that came with your pump - which are more expensive - item #625108 or 24110525: http://www.mothersboutique.com/bpafreeflange1.html. As we discussed on the telephone, the flanges that you purchased from me are made by Ameda. They are a less expensive version and they have a different shape than the ones that originally came with your pump. I gave you Ameda's telephone number to contact them if you feel that they are defective. Ameda fully warranties all of their products. (800) 233-5921 - if the flanges you received are defective, Ameda will replace them for you. Unfortunately, PA State Law does not allow me to accept returns on personal use items, so I am not able to take the flanges back. I would be happy to offer you a discount on the other flanges so that you can get those instead if you would prefer. I encourage you to call Ameda to verify that the flanges that you purchased from me are authentic. I do not sell any counterfeit products.
