I found this amazing glass and steel tile online for a great price. It was 50% less than what I would have paid to buy it locally, so my contractor said to go for it. I checked out as a guest and did not set up an account which I think was a mistake because I had no way to see my order status other than to try to contact someone at MosaicTileDirect. I didn't even get an order confirmation. So I started with online chat and finally was able to get an email with the order confirmation. But when I asked when I could expect the order to be shipped, they stopped replying. So then I sent an email with the same question and got no reply. So I started calling the number on their website. Sometimes I would reach a person, but most of the time it went to voicemail and the call was not returned. I also tried a Chat session several times with no reply. Each time I reached someone by phone they would say "it is shipping tomorrow". This happened for several days before I started searched the Internet and found this site with all of the 1-star reviews and started to panic. I thought I had been scammed. So I kept calling and insisted on speaking to a supervisor who had conveniently "stepped out". I was promised they would call me back in 30 minutes. When they didn't, I called again and was assured they would call back. They didn't. I called the next day and finally talked to someone who said my order was ready to ship and sent me the tracking number. I still wasn't convinced that I'd get the order, but a day later the package started moving, and I tracked it until it was delivered. The correct tile arrived in one piece and is absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait for it to be installed. My advice is sign up for an account so you can see your order status, and call (don't email or attempt a chat) if you have any questions. Keep calling if you get voicemail. Hopefully you will eventually reach Erica who was the most helpful at getting the tile delivered. The entire process took a little over two weeks which was completely reasonable. If they were just better at communicating, they would have gotten a much higher rating from me.

while the return experience was somewhat challenging, the company did follow through on its customer service commitment to an 85% refund on a return without covering shipping, and I will therefore give a neutral to slightly positive rating for this business

I bought hex penny tiles and carrara marble crown molding for my new bathroom. The tile arrived in good condition, and looks good installed. However, the pieces of crown molding varied greatly in color - some were very light, some were very gray. I would have appreciated more effort on the part of the packers to make sure the pieces were consistent in color. Efforts to reach customer service by e-mail and phone were unsuccessful.

I've given Mosaic Tile Direct 3 stars because they offer great tile selections and the best prices I could find. But the shipment of tiles (though fast), was delivered to my neighbor's house. Since the house is vacant, the tiles could have sat there forever without us knowing. Luckily, the new owner alerted us and we schlepped the tiles to our house.

Polished honey onyx tile is beautiful and the price was competitive compared to other sources. It was delivered quickly and shipping was free, which made it more competitive in comparison to other vendors. However, I also ordered matching bullnose that is needed to complete my project. It was not delivered and there has been no communication regarding its expected delivery date. When I pull up my account on their website the status for that part of the order says "processing". If I had known that the bullnose would not be delivered promptly I probably would have ordered from another vendor who could have delivered everything I needed to complete the project. I wanted to complete it during my holiday vacation but that was not possible. I believe such delays should be communicated immediately.
