Monterey Funancial is a predatory lender and used by Alleviate Tax
Unbeknownst to us, when using Alleviate Tax to help us with a Tax issue they opened accounts with Monterey Financial which at best has a sketchy reputation and a of company with terrible reviews and does predatory lending! Alleviate tax after many, many months and after talking to a different person each time came back with a resolution that stated that my husband made too much money (which they should have known from the outset that it would disqualify us) and to pay to the IRS $1,000 a month which we were already doing before we even contacted them. Alleviate Taxes advertisement says 100% refund if you’re dissatisfied. We stopped paying MONTEREY FINANCIAL $600. monthly three months.ago. Once we were contacted by Alleviate Tax that they offered no resolution, we finally stopped making payments to Monteraey Financial who then they reported us to the three credit agencies, EQUIFAX, EXPERIAN and TRANSUNIOM . Those two blemishes on our credit make us unable to secure a loan from any other bank, a car loan which we desperately need and access the equity we have in our home.. My husband has always been an extremely hard worker and this is not the way we envisioned our retirement to be as be are both SENIOR CITIZENS. We want all our money back for a job they never did! We have been trying for a long time to get reimbursed but have had no luck! Beware of these predatory tax companies who offer help but in the end just rip you off!
