Asked vendor of coffee table what I could use to give it a slight satin finish. I was told to use the Monocoat Maintenance Oil (Pure). It worked beautifully and gave me the finish that I wanted. Easy to apply.

Follow the directions carefully first timer
Follow the directions carefully. I am experiencing a learning curve with Rubio. I did not wipe off a sufficient amount of the Rubio Monocoat. It appeared to not stain my white oak enough for my liking and as a result stayed tacky for more than three months in a very warm basement. Next time I’ll wipe like I never wiped before!

Best finish ever.
Best finish ever. Smooth matte, let’s the grain feel come through—wood enhancing, not covering. Super easy, even application with a shop cloth buffing it in after spreading with a plastic spreader. Looks totally gorgeous.
