Used monocoat on a wooden kayak paddle. The pure did darken the cedar, but made the color and grain stand out. Have tp wait for it to cure and weather get better to see how it will hold up.

Great Product, Very easy to apply, great natural matte finish to accentuate the wood, no "plastic looking" sheen. Holds up well, I have had it on a center island made of Walnut for almost a year now and its holding up well.

I love Monocoat Natural oil finish because it is zero VOC. The oil is quite easy to apply and dries in about 12 hours. I bought the tin I used In March 2020, 3 years ago in August 2016 and I was able to use it 3 and 1/2 years after opening it. I was worried that it wouldn't last that long after opening. I was told that if it doesn't smell rancid , I would be able to use it and it did work well.That was really good as I didn't have to spend any more money. That , plus zero VOC and a pretty looking floor earns a 5 from me. The shine is not that prominent as compared to the polyurethane finishes but that is okay with me, I know the value underneath that look!
