Instructions and Packaging could be better
I used the 2-part Monocoat on a live-edge Cherry project and I very much like the result in terms of the product itself. That being said, I was disappointed in the packaging. I am not a professional wood worker, refinisher or floor specialist, I am strictly a hobbiest / homeowner and as such, I don't have a ton of experience so, maybe the fault is entirely my own. I bought the 350ml size and had difficulty accurately mixing the two-part as the container is seemingly meant to be used in 'one go'. I could not easily reseal the containers or measure out the 3:1 ratio. This was especially true of the accelerant and I ended up having to clamp the lid to get it to stay closed. I don't know why this is - maybe it fumes off and pushes the lid, or maybe the lid is too tight (and yes, the rim was clean)? The instructions also made no mention of how to clean up the tools and such; mineral spirits is the answer which I got in a prompt e-mail response but it could easily be in the instructions. All -in-all, a good experience but some unnecessary hassle along the way.
