I booked with monarch because the quote was so much more affordable then anyone else. After not returning texts or phone calls for 10 days, I was told I had to wait another week to cancel or they would charge me anyway. When a driver was finally found the price was double what I was quoted. I waited so long I had no other options. They sent me info confirming my driver after he'dpicked up my vehicle, they did not provide any updates throughout the process. I had to cash them for everything abs they'd state someone would call me back. No one ever did. Still no one has returned my call to confirm receipt and closeout. I received an update via email 3 days after my motorcycle was delivered and still no receipt. Would not be confident enough in this company to work with them again or recommend them to anyone. I'm only giving 2 stars because the driver of the local company was very professional and my bike was delivered. Beware of lack contact, information, updates, true quote prices, follow up info, receipts, basically everything you'd want to feel safe shipping a vehicle.

Monarch had always given me the best quotes in the past but now a deal went through and I had a vehicle to ship. Their quote was good for several days so I went to their website and booked the shipment. They don't charge your card until a driver has been assigned. The next day they called and said they had a driver ready but he wanted over $100 more than the quote. Wait a dang minute, you gave me a quote! You don't honor your quotes? "That's just an estimate based on recent shipments". I declined and they said they would try to find another driver. They called again the next day and said they had another driver but he wanted over $50 more than the quote. I'm pissed and declined again. What if I cancel the shipment? "You'll get charged a $129 cancellation fee". Where does it say on your website about the cancellation fee and the quotes are only estimates? "It's in your contract". You don't get to SEE the contract until AFTER you commit and they send it to you via email in a pdf. Four pages of fine print legal jargon. I finally agreed to get my vehicle on the way. Do your homework and be advised.

Limited communications. Slow to respond to communication. Added $300 for motorcycle shipping days after the contract was signed. Their shipper, Lamy Trans LLC had even worse communication. Delivered 3 days late after 10 pm. Driver would not sign the delivery damage report included in Monarch's contract. Driver was sketchy and didn't leave my property for over an hour after delivery until I threatened to call the police. But it is was delivered so they get 2 stars.

My biggest gripe is lack of communication. I paid a $300 fee for “same day pickup” which did not materialize. I put the order in on Wednesday at 1pm with the promise from my dispatcher that it would happen Thursday. He stopped texting me at noon on Thursday and refused to answer any questions. I didn’t even blow him up, three questions spaced 2 hours apart, just asking what to expect so I can plan because I was stranded in a city 4 hours from home. Finally on Friday they sent a truck out and only then did my dispatcher make contact again. I understand you can’t make magic happen, but if you’re going to be late.. communicate! Not to mention that I paid for same day service and received it 60 hours later. And then there was the driver who seemed like a random civilian. No DOT numbers on his truck. A truck that squatted hard when we loaded up my vehicle. And he did not speak a lick of English. He had a unique language from Eastern Europe and communication was almost impossible. Also, when monarch charged my card it hit a fraud alert. I had spent plenty of money in the new city and my alerts are not strict. I’m just glad it’s over.

Initially, representative was responsive but that was before I paid the dispatch deposit. After paying, there was zero response to 5 or 6 emails asking for updates on pickup and to give me something of a delivery window the day prior. Had to call in and wait on hold to get someone on the phone, which was Andre and Andre is completely worthless. They eventually got a driver but then the price increased almost 100$ from their quote I agreed on- Had I read reviews on Monarch, I would have known to expect the price increase, so that's on me I guess. I think their business model revolves around under-quoting to get you in the door, and then when no driver takes the pickup they jack the price up. Delivery scheduling happened approximately 1 hour prior to the driver wanting to drop off despite many attempts by me to get some kind of time frame the day prior so that I could accommodate around my work schedule. It was fun getting a call from the driver while I'm at work, in the middle of the day Friday asking if there was any way I could leave work to take delivery so that he could continue on to his next destination. I don't blame the driver for that, I blame Monarch and their lack of service and response. I've had a car delivered in the past that was damaged by the delivery driver, and that other company was extremely responsive and bent over backwards to get the problem fixed. I am absolutely certain that had this happened with Monarch, it would have been a complete disaster given their level of service. I gave plus one star because the driver worked with me (3rd party driver) and waited for me to get home to make delivery which really jammed him up for his long haul over night to the next delivery. Whatever, live and learn. I do hate middle-men like this that take a fee and offer absolutely no value whatsoever.

There was a mistake on the type of driver sent to get my rv. Just be sure you clarify all details of your rv with your driver before the pick-up. Once the issue was discovered, it was fixed promtly. Still a pain and it did take a few extra days.

When I first contacted the company I was pleasantly surprised. However, they did not deliver the bike for the price we agreed on($150 more). I was told the bike would be delivered on a Tuesday, bike never came to that Saturday, I tried to contact the company and the driver with no luck. Then 15 minutes before I took delivery they called, good thing I was home. They also wanted me to meet them at a gas station 15 minutes from my house, ride it home with ice and snow on the ground in 20 degree weather. Pretty sure the bike was also shipped on an open trailer, looked like it was on ground zero on 9/11 . Unrecognizable with the dust and dirt.Seller sent a pick when they picked it up it was spotless. the Make up your own mind, I will never use them again.
