I ordered custom cables and choose shipping method that should arrive between 6-12 days. Today is the 14th day and I have yet not received my order. They can not keep up with their promise and blames it on Chinese new year. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE buying from MODDIY.

Dear by JiJi__GHoST,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We truly value the opportunity to clarify.
Your order was placed on February 25th, and it was for premium tailor‑made custom cables. These cables are individually crafted to your exact specifications, including length, color, style, and PSU model, which naturally requires more preparation time than standard stock items.
As noted on our homepage (https://www.moddiy.com/images/notice/cny-notice-2026.png), all custom orders placed around the Chinese New Year holiday (Feb 6th to 26th) are affected by the seasonal closure. We understand how important this cable was for you and regret that the overlap with the holiday caused delays despite your request for the earliest possible shipment.
We sincerely apologize for the frustration this caused. Your feedback helps us improve communication and transparency, and we will continue working to make our timelines clearer for future customers.
Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to explain, and we hope you will consider us again should you need another custom solution.
Warm regards,
The MODDIY Team

Can't believe someone said "FAST"...
Can't believe someone said "FAST"...
I ordered a GPU power cable from MODDIY on Feb. 5th. Their website did inform that any custom item would not ship until after the Chinese New Year--but the item I ordered did say IN STOCK. On Feb. 25th I emailed them, where is my order? and they replied about it saying any orders not in stock during the CNY would not be actioned until after CNY --Feb 6th to 26th!! yet later that day I got an email telling me my item had SHIPPED. Okay--now today--March 7th!! I checked their website and it says my order is being PREPARED!!
The real kicker is that when I ordered the item I include a note telling them I need this item and asking politely that they send it at the earliest...
NEVER AGAIN!

Dear L Dowser,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We truly value the opportunity to clarify.
Your order was placed on February 9th, not February 5th as mentioned, and it was for a premium tailor‑made custom cable. These cables are individually crafted to your exact specifications, including length, color, style, and PSU model, which naturally requires more preparation time than standard stock items.

childish operators..... avoid like the plague
I ordered some PCIE connectors to put on my damaged power cables. A week later and it still says packing? Now after ignoring me they say some chinese new year garbage will mean I must wait several weeks before it gets shipped out. They say the web site said I would need to wait several weeks. No chance it said that. It also is not a custom cable nor did it say out of stock. I would never use this garbage company again. They have no respect for their customers time. I have a rig down, it has been down for a week. Now I have to order from some one else. And since they are now once again ghosting me after demanding my money back I will have to go to the bank and demand a charge back. Which they will initially refuse so I will have to harass the banking regulators until they get sick of my voice and order the bank to do the charge back. Avoid this company like the plague. They are dishonest, and have no respect for their customers time. They bring shame to themselves but since they have no self respect, they don't care.

Check before use cables!
I want to share my experience with ModDIY, so others don’t face the same issues.
On September 16, 2025, I ordered two “10 Pin to 8 Pin + 6 Pin GPU PCIe Power Cables for HP ML350 Gen9” from ModDIY. The seller explicitly guaranteed these cables are “original and correct for ML350 Gen9.”
The facts:
The cables I received were miswired. Instead of the correct HP pinout (3× +12V and 4× GND on GPU side), ModDIY’s version forces 5× +12V and 5× GND.
Even their own product photo reverse-searches to a cable for DL380 Gen8/Gen9, not ML350 Gen9.
Multimeter tests show completely wrong behavior: 10.5V on pins that should be 12V or GND.
After connecting the cables, my HP GPU Power Backplane (P/N 780968-001) was physically damaged. The logic IC 74LV165AD (U1) burned out.
Evidence:
ModDIY’s own chat: instead of accepting responsibility, they aggressively denied any problem, insisted their cables are “100% standard,” sent random Amazon links as “proof,” and finally told me: “Please cut the cable in half and send us the photo, then we will refund you.”
This is not professional support — it’s a clear admission that returning the item is pointless.
The result:
The cables are not as described.
They damaged working HPE Server hardware.
ModDIY refused to cooperate properly, denied evidence, and acted aggressively.
Replacement of the backplane costs ~€100 incl. VAT and shipping (serverShop24.de). Together with the cables, my total loss is around $250 USD.
Conclusion:
ModDIY sells cables that are not what they claim, can destroy expensive hardware, and their “support” is unprofessional and hostile.
I strongly recommend avoiding them.
All evidence (photos before/after, multimeter measurements, chat logs) is available and can be provided publicly.
Update after MODDIY’s response:
MODDIY’s cable had the wrong pinout, proven by direct testing. It caused a burned backplane on my HP ML350 Gen9 — real damage that they never compensated for. Their “14 years of experience” means nothing when their product destroys hardware.
They shipped a faulty, dangerous cable and refused responsibility. Never trust them.

Dear Ivan,
Thank you for your message, and we're genuinely sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with your experience. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few technical points that may help clear up the misunderstanding.
First and foremost, a full refund has already been issued for your order, regardless of the cause. We always strive to support our customers with fairness and goodwill.
Based on our communication, it appears that the cable you purchased—designed for PCIe 6-pin/8-pin configurations—is not compatible with your RTX 50-series GPU, which requires a 12VHPWR connector. These newer GPUs use a different power delivery standard, and unfortunately, the cable you selected is an 8pin/6pin PCIE cable.
Regarding the pinout: PCIe cables typically have two distinct ends—the GPU-side PCIe 8-pin and the HP-side HP 10-pin. It seems you may have been some confusion between these two. For the HP 10-pin side, the standard configuration is 5 pins for +12V and 5 pins for GND. This is consistent and the same across manufacturers globally, including the cable you received from us.
As for voltage specification, PCIe power cables are designed to deliver only +12V and GND. These are the only two voltage lines defined in the PCIe power standard.
We’ve tried our best to explain these details patiently the difference of a 10pin modular port, an 8pin PCIE port, and a 12VHPWR port, but we understand that technical specifications can sometimes be complicated. It appears the cable was simply not the right match for your GPU.
For over 14 years, we’ve proudly served customers worldwide with millions of cables sold, and we’ve never received a report of incorrect pinout in our products. That said, we always welcome feedback and remain committed to continuous improvement.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help.
Warm regards,
MODDIY

A bit strange
Moddiy tried to slap on a hidden fee when cancelling my order. On top of that, it was troublesome to communicate with the customer service. While chatting it felt like they were stalling. For example, when I asked for clarifications on how to proceed with a refund, the chat was abandoned on their end in the middle of it

Hi Julian,
Thanks for providing the info. I am able to locate your order. Please let me explain the misunderstanding about Stripe processing fee and our follow-up action.
I see your order already been cancelled and refunded accordingly, but since Stripe does not refund processing fee which caused this confusion/misunderstanding. Further info can be found at https://support.stripe.com/questions/understanding-fees-for-refunded-payments in particular: "To address these underlying payment processing costs and continue providing these services as part of our standard pricing, Stripe does not return our fees when a payment is refunded."
So it is not us trying to slap on a hidden fee, but Stripe does not refund the processing fee when a payment is refunded.
But no worries, please feel free to contact us anytime via Live Chat or email. We can send you the Stripe processing fee manually out of our pocket.
Sometimes the live chat agents may be occupied, and couldn't reply instantly, but all messages will always be replied within 24 hours.
Thank you very much for your kind attention, and sorry for the confusion. Hope this can clear up the misunderstanding.
Thank you again for buying from us.

Bad Practices Make a Bad Company
ModDIY claimed my intial review on trust pilot was not based on a genuine experience. Unfortunately, the email I received from trust pilot somehow ended up in my spam folder and I didn't see it until the last day. I sent the required information to Trust Pilot to prove that my experience was genuine and hopefully it goes through. If not, here is my review and don't worry modDIY, this time, I'll be ready to make sure my review sticks on this website, unlike your website, where you only select the good reviews to show.
Anyways, the original review is as follows:
This company is very selective of what reviews they show on their website. I had placed an order for a 90 degree adaptor cable for the new Nvidia 40 series GPU on 1/16/2023. I had left a bad review for them on their website for sending me the wrong product and for poor follow-up service. Please note, that I did not leave a bad review until after their poor response and service... I was using their chat to contact them and they had initially responded, seeming to express concern. However, when I had informed them that they had sent me the unsleeved cable instead of the sleeved cable, they immediately stopped messaging me back and for 2 days, and every time I messaged them, I kept getting message prompt: "We are very sorry, but all our agents are engaged right now. Would you please leave your question and email address here and we'll get back to you shortly."
I had asked them if they would just send me the sleeve, as they had sent me the un-sleeved one, and I still had no reply.
At this point, on Friday, 1/20/2023, I decided to leave a bad review on their website for their poor service. I still do not see my review on their website. This means that they are selecting reviews that only make them look good, and I find it highly unprofessional, that they would choose to contact me back to ask me to "take a picture," only after I had decided to leave a bad review.
Bad practices and bad company. I do not recommend them.

I ordered a cable for my graphics card…
I ordered a cable for my graphics card on their site. The product page clearly stated it was compatible with my series of graphics card. However after ordering i inspected the corresponding connector on my graphics card one more time and realized that it wasn't compatible because there are two different kinds of connectors this series of card can have and their cable is only compatible with one of them.
Of course there is no disclaimer on their product page about this.
Anyways, just a few minutes after i ordered i tried reaching them via live chat and email to cancel the order.
The person doing the live chat support magically went offline right after i asked them to cancel my order and i didnt receive an email until after the package was shipped 24 hours later, basically telling me: "Tough luck. Your package has already been shipped."
