pure scam, no shares, just a bunch of useless nonsense, completely useless and terrible support, run away from these scammers
Response from www.moby.coNov 7, 2025
We’re sorry you feel this way, but we want to clarify that Moby is absolutely not a scam. We’re a legitimate financial research platform trusted by tens of thousands of paying members who rely on our independent stock analysis, data-driven insights, and long-term investing research every day.
Moby does not sell shares or execute trades — and we’re very clear about that. We provide research, education, and model portfolios to help our members make better investing decisions on their own. Many of our reports and strategies have outperformed the broader market, and we’re proud of the results our members continue to achieve.
As for support, our team responds to all messages sent to [email protected]
within 24–48 hours. If you haven’t received a reply, it’s often due to spam or promotions filters, and we’re happy to follow up immediately if you contact us again.
We take transparency and integrity extremely seriously — and we stand by the quality of our research and our commitment to every member.

We understand your frustration, but we want to be very clear — Moby is not a fake or fraudulent organization. We are a legitimate financial research platform used by tens of thousands of paying members who rely on our independent analysis, stock reports, and data-driven insights every day.
Moby is not a news outlet — we’re a research and education company that provides long-term investing insights, model portfolios, and deep-dive reports created by our in-house team of analysts and researchers. Our goal is to help everyday investors access the kind of quality research that was once only available to professionals.
We’re also fully transparent with billing: all members can cancel at any time through the same platform they used to sign up (Apple, Google, Stripe, or our website). And our support team — reachable at [email protected]
— responds to all messages within 24–48 hours.
We take integrity and transparency extremely seriously, and we encourage anyone with concerns to contact us directly so we can help.

I went for their picks and boom
I went for their picks and boom, both drop 30% and 15% respectively.
Do not trust moby.
Response from www.moby.coNov 7, 2025
We’re sorry to hear that those particular stock picks didn’t perform as you’d hoped — investing can be challenging, and short-term price movements don’t always reflect the long-term outlook or fundamentals we base our research on.
To clarify, Moby is not a trading or get-rich-quick service. We’re a long-term research platform that provides data-driven insights, model portfolios, and fundamental analysis designed to help investors make informed decisions over time — not just in the immediate weeks after a pick is released. Many of our recommendations are based on multi-year theses, and some of our best-performing ideas have required patience before delivering strong returns.
We take transparency seriously and regularly review every recommendation’s performance in our reports. Our goal is to educate and empower investors, not promise guaranteed gains — because as every investor knows, the market carries risk, even with solid research.
If you’d like, we’d be happy to walk through the reasoning behind those picks and provide updates on the latest research. Please reach out to [email protected]
, and our team will gladly assist.

No way to cancel the subscription
They are purely running the scam. They advertised 14 days free trial and $99 / year. but they charged me immediately after the sign up. they dont have option to cancel the subscription in their app. Sent mutliple mails and no response. Luckily i paid through paypal and contacted paypal . Paypal refunded the amount immediately after filing a dispute stated 'they received multiple disputes about this and refunding my amount back' So be aware of all this before subscribing
Response from www.moby.coJul 24, 2025
We’re sorry to hear about your experience, but we want to clarify a few important facts:
1. The Free Trial and Billing
Our subscription is handled through the App Store, which manages both the 14-day free trial and the billing process. Based on our records, you were only charged after the 14-day trial period ended, not immediately upon sign-up. This is confirmed in the timestamps from the App Store’s own billing system.
2. Cancellation Process
We provide a simple and accessible way to cancel at any time:
Directly in the App Store (for subscriptions started via Apple)
Through our website and in-app account settings (for non-App Store users)
Clear instructions are available on our support page, and we’re happy to walk users through it if needed.
3. Customer Support
We make it a priority to respond to every inquiry. If you reached out and didn’t hear back, it’s possible the email landed in spam or was missed due to incorrect contact info. We welcome you to follow up at [[email protected]] so we can investigate further and assist directly.
4. PayPal Dispute
We understand that PayPal may have issued a refund as a courtesy if multiple disputes were filed. However, this doesn’t necessarily reflect wrongdoing on our part—only that refunds were issued outside our normal process. We always honor App Store and platform-level policies and have no ability to override or view PayPal decisions.

Deliberate attempt to make cancellation difficult and exploit customers
I cancelled my Moby subscription weeks ago, but they keep charging me. I’ve sent multiple emails to their support team. No reply, no acknowledgment, nothing. It’s incredibly frustrating to be ignored. This feels like a deliberate attempt to make cancellation difficult and exploit customers who don’t have time to chase support endlessly. Avoid Moby until they fix their cancellation process and start responding to customers.
Response from www.moby.coNov 7, 2025
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience — and we want to assure you that there is absolutely no deliberate attempt to make cancellation difficult. Transparency and customer trust are extremely important to us.
To clarify, Moby subscriptions can be canceled at any time through the same platform you used to sign up — whether that’s Apple, Google, Stripe, or our website. These payment providers handle billing directly, and for security reasons, cancellations and refunds must go through those same channels. Once canceled, your membership immediately stops auto-renewing.
We respond to all messages sent to [email protected]
within 24–48 hours. If you haven’t received a reply, it’s likely our message was filtered into your spam or promotions folder — something we’re working to improve with our email provider.
We take claims of poor communication seriously, and we’d be happy to personally look into your case right away. Please reach out again at [email protected]
so we can confirm your cancellation and ensure any extra charge is refunded promptly.
Moby exists to help individual investors access high-quality research — and we’re committed to doing so with honesty and professionalism.

Be careful of this company
Be careful of this company. It is very difficult to cancel services after the introductory offer. We tried to cancel the app and the service before the next yearly installment was due but even after an email, they would not cancel. They essentially said they would not refund anything after 30 days. Well, I'm trying to cancel after a full year, and no, they just want your money. Also in today's volatile market, single stock picks are not very reliable.
Response from www.moby.coNov 7, 2025
We’re sorry to hear about your experience — and we’d like to clarify a few important details so readers have the full picture.
First, Moby is a legitimate financial research company, not a trading platform or scam. We take transparency and fairness very seriously, especially regarding billing and cancellations.
All members can cancel their subscription at any time through the same platform used to sign up — whether that’s Apple, Google, Stripe, or our website. For security reasons, those payment providers process cancellations and refunds directly. Our 30-day refund policy is clearly outlined in our terms of service, and we honor it consistently across all members. After that period, renewals are final — just as with most digital subscription services — but you can cancel anytime to prevent future charges.
As for your comment about single stock picks — we completely understand the concern. Moby’s research isn’t about short-term trading, but rather long-term, data-driven investing insights. Markets are volatile, and no research provider can control short-term price movements, but our goal is to give investors the tools and education to make smarter, more informed decisions over time.
We’d be happy to look into your account directly to make sure your cancellation went through properly. Please reach out to [email protected]
, and our team will resolve it right away.

Misleading Renewal Practices and Disappointing Customer Service
I signed up for Moby last year with a promotional deal and used the service off and on. While the daily market updates were occasionally interesting, I wasn’t impressed with their stock picks overall. I had a few small wins, but far more losses, some I’m still trying to recover from. That alone was disappointing, but what truly pushed me away was the poor customer service and shady renewal process.
First, there’s no simple way to cancel. You can’t just log in and click a button, you have to email support. Even then, they don’t honor the first request. Instead, it turns into a back-and-forth that feels intentionally drawn out.
Then there’s the auto-renewal issue. Moby claims they send out reminders before charging your card, but I checked thoroughly, including my spam folder, and I received no such notice. The only “reminder” I got was a $199.95 charge hitting my credit card. I reached out immediately and was told there’s a 30-day money-back guarantee, but only for new users, and sorry, nothing they could do.
Eventually, after pushing, they offered a 50% refund. While that’s better than nothing, it still doesn’t feel right.
Here’s the bottom line:
• There’s no excuse for hiding cancellation behind a slow email process.
• No one should have to fight for basic fairness when they didn’t get a renewal reminder.
• Good customer service is about respecting people’s time, money, and trust, not squeezing every last dollar out of them.
Had Moby been more transparent and ethical, I might’ve returned someday. I might have even recommended them in my investment circles. But after this experience, I won’t be back and I’ll be warning others to avoid them too.

We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your detailed feedback. While we completely understand your frustration, we’d like to clarify a few key points to ensure readers have the full context.
First, Moby is not hiding or complicating the cancellation process. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the same platform used to sign up — whether that’s Apple, Google, Stripe, or our website. In cases where users contact us directly via email, our support team processes cancellations within 24–48 hours, and confirmation is always sent once completed.
Regarding renewal reminders, our system automatically sends an email before renewal as a courtesy. Occasionally, these messages can be filtered into spam or promotions folders — something we’re continuously working to improve by upgrading our email delivery system.
As for refunds, our 30-day money-back policy applies consistently across all accounts. In cases where members reach out just beyond that window, our team often provides partial or goodwill refunds (as you mentioned receiving 50%) because we genuinely want to do right by our users whenever possible.
On performance — we understand that not every stock pick will outperform in the short term. Our research is designed for long-term investors who understand market volatility and want access to data-driven, independent analysis. Many of our members have seen strong results over time, but we also know the market involves risk.
We take integrity, transparency, and customer trust seriously — and your feedback helps us continue improving. Please reach out again at [email protected]
, and we’ll be glad to personally ensure your account and concerns are fully resolved.

Absolute scam
They follow some super shady practices. I do not even have an account with them and they billed me an annual subscription fee on Android just because someone downloaded the app on my phone. Just straightaway got an email receipt and now they are completely refusing to refund the subscription fee - I've been in touch with them for the last few weeks and they keep going around in circles and saying they can't refund.
Response from www.moby.coApr 27, 2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're sorry to hear about your frustration.
We’d like to clarify a few important points regarding your experience:
App Download and Subscription Activation: Our app, like any app on the Google Play Store, cannot be installed or subscribed to without direct user interaction. If the app appeared on your device and a subscription was initiated, it would have required active steps on the device itself — including agreeing to the Google Play terms and conditions and authorizing a subscription payment through your Google account. It's not possible for us, or any developer, to remotely initiate an install or subscription without the device owner’s approval.
Subscription Management and Refunds: Refunds for subscriptions purchased via the Google Play Store are managed entirely by Google, not by us. Once a payment is processed through Google Play, developers do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. This is a standard policy across all apps on the platform. We have repeatedly advised reaching out to Google Play Support, where they have a streamlined process for reviewing and issuing refunds if warranted.
We take these matters seriously and always strive to provide clear communication and assistance. If you need any additional help navigating the Google Play refund process, we're happy to guide you further.
Thank you for your understanding.
