completely forgot i had signed up and best i can tell they forgot me too until it came time for the auto re-subscribe. have not once used the service. saw the charge pop up and asked for refund right away. got a very curt reply that they aint in the refund business. never again.
Response from www.moby.coDec 5, 2025
Hi — sorry this caught you by surprise, and I understand why you’re frustrated. Let me clarify a couple things for accuracy and make sure you’re taken care of.
1) Renewals aren’t triggered manually.
Subscriptions renew automatically only if auto-renew is left on. That’s disclosed at signup and in the account portal. We don’t “remember you when it’s time to charge you” — the billing is automatic through the payment system.
2) “Never used the service” doesn’t automatically void renewal terms.
We can see usage on our side, and we get that sometimes people sign up and life happens. But access to paid content is available the entire term whether or not someone logs in, so refund eligibility is based on the refund window in the terms — not usage.
3) The reply you got isn’t the standard we want to deliver.
Even when we can’t approve a refund, we should explain that respectfully and clearly. I’m sorry if the tone felt curt — that’s on us.
Here’s what we can do right now:
Email [email protected]
with the email tied to your account and the charge date, and we’ll:
confirm your cancellation immediately so you don’t renew again, and
review whether your request falls within the refund terms or if a goodwill exception is appropriate.
We’re not trying to trap anyone, and we’re not in the business of being difficult — we apply the same terms consistently, but we also want to be fair and human about edge cases. If you send your details in, we’ll give you a clear, final resolution in writing.

TERRIBLE service
TERRIBLE service, every pick is down A LOT!
Response from www.moby.coDec 5, 2025
Hi — thanks for sharing your experience, and I’m sorry the service hasn’t met your expectations.
A couple important clarifications for context:
Not every pick will be up at all times. Markets move in cycles, and even strong long-term theses can be down materially in the short term — especially in volatile or risk-on/off environments. We never present any single idea as a guaranteed winner.
Our research is built around transparent reasoning, not hype. Each report lays out the thesis, valuation, key risks, and what would cause us to change our view. Some calls work, some don’t — that’s true of any equity research, and we don’t hide from that.
That said, if you’re seeing consistent underperformance relative to your goals, that’s valid feedback. We want to understand which specific picks you’re referring to and when you entered so we can review the timing and the original thesis with you. It also helps us improve the product and how we communicate risk and portfolio construction.
Please email [email protected]
with:
the email on your account
the tickers you’re referencing
and roughly when you followed the picks
We’ll pull the reports, walk through what happened, and make sure your subscription is canceled if you’d like to end it. We take this seriously and will respond directly.

100% a scam
This is an absolute scam. They have no customer support, and they provide no way to cancel your membership. They list a path in their terms and conditions document but the path they describe does not exist on the website or app. They do not respond to emails; I have been writing them for months to cancel my membership. There are better and more reliable investment sites out there.
Response from www.moby.coDec 5, 2025
Hi — I’m really sorry this has been your experience, and I understand why you’re angry. But I also need to correct the record clearly for anyone reading.
We are not a scam, and we do not hide cancellation. Moby is a legitimate subscription business. We don’t benefit from trapping people; we want customers who choose to be here.
Here are the two correct cancellation paths, depending on where you subscribed:
1) If you subscribed on our website:
Cancellation is done inside your account portal (not the public marketing pages).
Steps:
Log in to your Moby account using the email you purchased with
Go to Account Settings → Billing / Subscriptions → Manage Plan
Select Cancel Subscription / turn off auto-renew
If you don’t see the cancel option once logged in, it almost always means either:
you’re logged into a different email than the one used at checkout, or
you’re on a legacy plan where self-cancel isn’t visible in the portal.
In both cases, support can cancel it manually immediately once we have the correct account.
2) If you subscribed through Apple App Store / Google Play:
Your subscription is controlled by Apple/Google.
You cancel via your App Store subscriptions like any other app. We can’t cancel App Store plans from our side, and refunds there are processed by Apple/Google.
On support:
If emails have gone unanswered for months, that’s a real failure, and I’m sorry. That’s not acceptable, and it doesn’t reflect how we want to operate. A support breakdown is on us — but it’s very different from “no way to cancel.”
Let’s resolve your specific case now.
Please email [email protected]
with:
the email tied to your subscription
the platform you subscribed on (web / Apple / Google)
the most recent charge date
and a screenshot of the missing cancel screen if you have it
Subject line: “Trustpilot Cancellation Escalation”.
That routes it to senior review. We will confirm cancellation in writing.
You shouldn’t have to fight for something as basic as ending a subscription. We’ll fix this for you — and we’ll also use your feedback to make the cancellation instructions impossible to miss.

Paid and then ignored it for months
Paid and then ignored it for months. Couldn't login. They never replied to complaint. Just another rip-off. So many of them these days. Dark times.
Response from www.moby.coNov 7, 2025
We’re truly sorry to hear you had trouble accessing your account — that’s never the experience we want for our members.
To clarify, Moby is a legitimate research platform, and our support team responds to every customer inquiry sent to [email protected]
, typically within 24–48 hours. If you didn’t receive a response, it’s possible our email reply landed in your spam or promotions folder — something we’ve seen occasionally happen with automated mail filters.
If you couldn’t log in, the most common reason is a password mismatch or an account created through a third-party provider (Apple or Google). This can sometimes create duplicate logins that prevent access — and we’re always happy to resolve that quickly once contacted.
We take pride in maintaining transparent billing and helping thousands of investors access high-quality research and insights every month. Please reach out again at [email protected]
so we can personally ensure your access is restored and your concerns are addressed.

Zero cancellation options
There is no option to cancel the free trial.
Moby, please contact me cancel my subscription and provide mw with a refund. Thank you.
Response from www.moby.coNov 7, 2025
We’re sorry for any confusion — and we’d be happy to help you directly.
To clarify, Moby does provide a clear and simple way to cancel a free trial or subscription at any time. Users can manage their subscriptions through the same platform used to sign up — whether that’s our website, the Moby app, or a third-party provider such as Apple, Google, or Stripe. Because these payment systems are securely handled by those providers, cancellations and refunds must be processed through the same channel for your protection.
Our support team responds to all messages sent to [email protected]
, typically within 24–48 hours, and we’ll ensure your subscription is canceled and refunded if eligible. Please check your spam or promotions folder in case our earlier response didn’t appear in your inbox.
We’re committed to making our service transparent and easy to manage, and we appreciate you giving us the chance to make this right.

Complete scam
Complete scam. Sign up for a 14-day free trial, expecting solid business investment intelligence, etc. Get nothing but a dodgy newsfeed. You can not cancel via the app (intentional). You can no cancel when you login in online (intentional). The only way to stop them is to cancel your credit card. Good luck!
Response from www.moby.coNov 7, 2025
We’re sorry to hear about your experience, but we want to be very clear — Moby is not a scam. We’re a legitimate financial research platform trusted by tens of thousands of paying members who rely on our insights, data-driven analysis, and investment research every day.
To clarify a few key points:
Free Trial & Cancellation: All users can cancel their trial or subscription at any time. Cancellations must be made through the same platform used to sign up (Apple, Google, Stripe, or our website). This process is standard across subscription-based apps to ensure account security and compliance with payment provider policies.
Customer Support: Our team responds to all messages sent to [email protected]
, typically within 24–48 hours. If you didn’t see a reply, please check your spam or promotions folder — we’ve found that our emails sometimes get filtered there.
Our Content: Moby provides much more than a “newsfeed.” Members receive access to exclusive stock research, model portfolios, investment reports, and weekly insights produced by our in-house team of analysts and financial researchers.
We genuinely regret that your experience didn’t reflect what thousands of other members enjoy daily. Please reach out again at [email protected]
, and we’ll ensure your account and billing concerns are handled immediately.

Deception and fraud
To me it seems like a platform run by amateurs with zero professionalism or integrity. My membership was automatically renewed even when I did not choose to do so, despite a dozen messages to customer service no response or action. Current status is an interesting one: I do not have access to premium services even though I was charged a membership fee, the customer support does not respond. What a garbage platform based on fraud and deceit.
[Update 11/08/2025]
The callousness, cheating and deceit continues; instead of asking me to contact you again, why don't you check your records and fix the situation? I have gone through my junk folders; I have received nothing after sending multiple reminders (see pasted below).

We’re truly sorry to hear about your frustration — but we want to be absolutely transparent and correct a few misunderstandings.
First, Moby is a legitimate financial research company, not a fraudulent or deceptive platform. We serve tens of thousands of paying members who rely on our independent research and market insights daily.
Regarding your renewal:
Our memberships are clearly stated as recurring subscriptions at sign-up, in line with industry standards and app store policies (Apple, Google, or Stripe, depending on how you joined). This ensures uninterrupted access for members who want to continue their subscription. Of course, you can cancel at any time through the same platform you originally subscribed on — and once canceled, no further charges occur.
If you were charged but can’t access premium services, that’s typically caused by a login mismatch — for example, signing up via Apple or Google, then trying to access via email. Our support team can easily fix that once we confirm your account details.
As for support:
We reply to all messages sent to [email protected]
within 24–48 hours. If you haven’t seen a reply, it’s often because our message landed in a spam or promotions folder. We’re actively improving this with our email provider to ensure smoother communication.
We’d love the opportunity to resolve this quickly for you — please reach out again at [email protected]
so we can restore your access or issue a refund if applicable.
Moby was built to empower individual investors with quality, research-driven insights — and we take that mission, and our integrity, very seriously.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!
Moby.co is all Ugly, Ugly, and Ugly.
TOTAL FRAUD!
They push reports about research and investing offering a trial period for 14 days and after they would charge a fee in amount of $99.97, however they charged my card immediatly and once you sign up and enter your login information if you want to cancel there is no option to manage your subscription, no option to email, and no option to call customer support, they list phone number 212 736-3100 which belongs to the Empire State Building not Moby.co, I will follow you on social media and inform people of your dealings till you refund my charge.
Sincerely

Response from www.moby.coNov 7, 2025
Hi Sal,
We’re sorry for the confusion, but it appears you may have mistaken Moby.co for another business. The phone number you mentioned (212-736-3100) does not belong to us — it’s the public number for the Empire State Building. Moby.co has no affiliation whatsoever with that number or any other business operating out of that address.
To clarify a few key points:
Moby.co is a legitimate financial research platform, trusted by tens of thousands of paying members.
We offer a 14-day free trial exactly as stated, and users are never charged immediately unless they opt into a paid plan or sign up directly through Apple or Google (which both handle billing independently).
You can cancel or manage your trial anytime through the same platform used to subscribe (Apple, Google, Stripe, or our website).
Our official and only support channel is [email protected]
— and our team responds to all inquiries within 24–48 hours.
We’d be happy to verify your account and ensure this is resolved right away. Please email [email protected]
so our team can confirm your subscription details and process a refund if applicable.
We take integrity and transparency extremely seriously and want to make sure your experience reflects the professionalism our members expect.
