I’ve been using Mobicip to monitor my son’s online activity, and it has been a very positive experience for our family. It gives me peace of mind by allowing me to stay informed about how he uses his devices without feeling the need to constantly check in on him. The location feature has also been incredibly helpful, especially when he’s out, as it allows me to know that he’s safe.
What I appreciate most is that Mobicip has helped me see how responsible he is online. That has strengthened the trust between us while still giving me the reassurance that everything is going well. Overall, Mobicip has been a great tool for our family, and I would gladly recommend it to other parents looking for a thoughtful way to stay connected and informed.

App blocking and screen time schedules work well
App blocking and screen time schedules works well for my children. Specifically, the blocking of certain apps and websites during the class schedules keeps them focused. Their email customer service was very helpful when I had questions or problems during setup. We use it on iphones and Windows PCs. Would recommend to families with young children.

Problems, problems
When our child wants to access outside of time limits they change the time on their phone.
Each time the do an update, the settings get screwed up. There is no notification so suddenly sites we thought were blocked are unblocked.
We have been on 5+ calls with support over the 12 months we have used it.
The latest thing is that we are supposed to get a Credit Card to make payment. We don't have a credit card.

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!
We bought this app to control our teenagers use of their phones (iPhones). After reading the reviews from commercial sites (assumed they were paid), MOBICIP came out top.
Unfortunately, this is the easiest app to turn off, so easy in fact that a child can do it….and they did.
They had different options to circumnavigate the block on this app:
1. First, when in scheduled block time, they just altered the time on their phones to a time where they were allowed to use it. This then opened up the full functions of the phone.
I contacted MOBICIP who were fully aware of this (but don’t tell you). MOBICIP, blamed it on Apple saying they couldn’t do anything about it. So, this app is not fit for purpose!
2. The kids just simply switched off the VPN option in their settings. This rendered the app completely useless and they had full access to all the phone and apps. MOBICIP’s response to this “parents should monitor the child’s phone to make sure VPN is switched on”. All well and good if the child is sitting next to you, but pretty difficult if they aren’t! There is no record or notification of when the VPN is switched on or off so how is a parent supposed to know!!!
3. Finally, the child can simply delete the app from their phone and they have complete access again! Yes the parent is notified, but there’s nothing to stop the child doing it and getting access. Making the app pointless. MOBICIP reply is to say the parent should monitor this. Yep, the parent IS trying to monitor this, that’s why they purchased the app in the first place!!!!! What a waste of money!!! It would have been easier just to take the phone off the kids!
DO NOT BUY!!!
UPDATE 27/05/2025:
You can always tell the quality of a company by its customer service. I posted my review of this dreadful company 5 YEARS AGO. And only responding after 5 YEARS! Keep away folks.

Thanks for support team to give me full refund after a few days from subscription, the app need more development, the log in page appear many times and the app keeping log out .

Shows great promise & largely meets expectations, but product still needs development
Given that Mobicip ‘is’ the service they provide, my review will focus on my experience of their web filtering product when installed on an android phone.
Whilst things have definitely gotten better with the December update, the android app & web portal still need some work.
Whole device VPN protection when it works, works really well. Still got some connectivity issues whereby my phone seems to struggle to activate a connection & the only reliable way to re-establish a connection is to restart the phone. This seems to particularly impact messaging apps such as WhatsApp – I often get the ‘you may have new messages’ notification that can take upto 30 minutes to clear & sync. I accept that a VPN is going to have an impact on battery life but at least once a week it goes nuts and runs the battery down, accounting for 50% usage. some of the issues may be caused by the app interacting with Android Pie / Samsung's battery management - but i'd hope that Mobicip would be able to produce a product that accounts for this. App locking is done by checking against the web config - no connection, no apps. I'd like an admin function to use locally cached settings if no connection. Oh, and then there's the random locking of some settings in android with no way to configure them as unlocked. Frustrating.
Then there's the web portal. the recent redesign does in general make it easier to use, though i have found that in some instances the only way to resolve issues (like not managing phone apps) is to delete a user profile and start again. The phone app management side of things needs some work. firstly, it lists apps that are not on the phone (but may be installed by default on some phones i guess) - why? just list what's actually there. Secondly, that part of the web page refreshes with every change, and disabled apps dropping to the end of the list. what could be a simple 2 step process (select apps to be active & apply) becomes a multi-step time consuming process of change app status, wait for refresh, scroll back down page and repeat. Acceptable (barely) for 1 or 2 apps, but when working on 100? seriously? Especially when having installed mobicip on my phone some apps are ‘greyed out’ in the app management page despite showing as active – and the only way to get them working is to disable then enable them again.
Support is reasonable - but by email or web forum only and may take some time. first response is usually within 24 hours, but resolution may take a few days longer. Some admin functions (cancelling account, changing email address) can only be performed by the support team- why not from the web portal ? I get Mobicip is a relatively small company, but why not reduce your support load by shifting these functions to the web portal ?
