It is incredibly empowering and inspiring to live in a community with a common vision of human potential, learning and practicing together with open hearts. Many of my closest connections were formed at MIU. That said, in such an environment, one must also be vigilant not to slip into dogma and self-certainty. I loved my time at MIU and got an outstanding education, in both the objective and subjective domains.

I had a fantastic experience at MIU. The connections with people -- both friends and faculty -- are really amazing. I learned so much in the classroom and from the deep conversations we'd have over lunch, in the dorms, and outside class. I feel like my time at MIU as an undergrad and grad student set me up for a really positive, fufilling life after college. My wife and I have two little girls now, and I hope they'll attend MIU someday!

Open, honest, refreshing.

Almost everything about MIU is unique, refreshing and creative. The programs, the curriculum, the teachers, the staff, the administrators and the facility itself. There is always the intention of being better and growing to a more evolutionary state which always means change for the better. I would highly recommend MIU for someone who wants to think outside the box and do well in the world.

Everything is alive and interesting. After serving in the military and attending other universities I was taken aback at how profound learning could be. When you discover that knowledge is structured in your own consciousness it becomes more real. The old adage of "why do I need to know this..." disappears.

This is a place for learning pace, learning to balance rest and activity, learning to learn, to investigate, question, discover, it's a supportive community for total self-realization, realization of all aspects and all levels of one's self.

MIU is a university that also has the development of one's consciousness as priority. This is important, particularly in business, as we see today that the value of governance in a business is coming to the fore. Governance is all about consciousness. Concerning businesses, businesses with superior governance have higher relative stock market values. So, combining higher consciousness with academic studies will put you ahead of the those graduates from other schools!
