Not what I had initially expected in the good way we got to look around the city and work with Mission Discovery and help people.

As a pastor I have been leading church groups with Mission Discovery for over a decade. The experiences have truly been transformative for all our groups. One of Mission Discovery’s great strengths is with their local partnerships in places such as Haiti, Jamaica, Guatemala,.. which enable them to meet the real material and spiritual needs of those communities. Their missional posture reminds me of something the missionary Hudson Taylor once said, “God isn’t looking for people of great faith, but for individuals ready to follow Him.” In following Christ into the mission field, we discovery how faith is made great. I hope you’ll take the opportunity to join the Lord on one of these life-changing trips!

Pastor Chris, Thanks for being a part of God's work in Guatemala. It was truly a joy to serve with you and Anna. Jimmy, Nathan, and the rest of the Mission Discovery staff holds you and your family near to our hearts. Praying for you as God continues to unveil his wonderful plan for your family!

The trip that I took with Mission Discovery is something that I will never forget! I learned that they are so many different ways to help out others. Each night we would do a God sighting and my favorite one was the very fact of how the dirty became clean through our help. God does the same for us, He makes our dirty hearts clean so that we may glorify Him! I learned so much from this trip and would 10/10 recommend ;) Such amazing people and I loved being apart of God’s grand design.

Faith
Such an incredible experience. I had no clue I was gonna have the opportunity to go but God provided the money and I was able to go. It was so awesome meeting all the people and helping people I didn’t even get to meet. I learned a lot from new fun worship songs, to how to use power tools, and how to strengthen my relationship with God. I absolutely would go back in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone to do a missions trip if they get the opportunity!
