I went into the Orange Beach, Alabama mission trip not knowing what to expect. We had been warned that it was different than last years, but I had only heard the stories from the year before. I was so excited to be able to help people in the community, and boy did we do that. We were able to help so many families at the food shelf and at the work cites. It was amazing to see the joy that we were able to bring into other peoples lives. This mission trip really showed me how much I take for granted in my life. God has blessed me with a roof over my head, food at the dinner table, and so much more. I was able to do Gods work by giving people those things that I don’t even think about in my daily life. I took home so much that it has affected my daily life. I no longer take for granted how blessed I have been to be safe and be able to do things I love. I had so much fun on this years mission trip and I can’t wait for next years!

I really liked the experience I had at the missions trip. It was really eye opening of things that happen around the world. They had good sermons that were easy to understand and had great food there.

I loved the trip. Incredible experiences, it was easy to see that God was clearly working, and the food was amazing. My only complaint would be the lack of communication. I felt out of the loop the entire time. Other than that, I really enjoyed going on this trip.

It was our first time on a MD trip. We had an awesome time! Everything was so well organized and we loved the community relationships. We will definitely be back.

I had such an amazing time and I was able to grow in my faith a lot through this trip! It was a great experience and I seen God work in amazing ways! I definitely want to go back!

For me, considering that this is my first missions trip, I would say that it was a very great experience that I would 100% do again in the future. I loved being able to help all of those kids, and seeing the joy in there faces. I think it’s really crazy that just the smallest things can change those kids lives. There was this one kid that I played a lot of different games with him and he had a big cast on one of his arms. This kid was so excited, and even though I was getting tired from playing with him, his big adorable smile just made me want to keep playing with him, because he just brought so much joy to my heart. We also helped out at the school we were staying at and I helped out with filling in these pot holes in the parking lot, and the leaders helping us with it were just so grateful and I could see how much they appreciated us helping them. I learned so many things on this trip, especially during the small sermons we would have at night. I truly felt God speaking to me in mostly all of them that we had every one of those nights we were there. I enjoyed every minute of it all even if it was super hot:) It was just such a joy to work with all of the other people that went with us, and I just had such an amazing time.

This was out first trip with Mission Discovery but won't be out last! Grew closer together as a family, but more importantly we each grew closer to God individually! Developed deeper faith, trust, flexibility and joy while serving. Thank you Nathan and Molly and Mission Discovery!

It was a great experience for me! Getting to help others and working with different people, it was nice getting to know them and hearing their stories. The staff was great! They kept us on schedule and the food was great. Overall it was a great trip and I would definitely do it again!
