I appreciated the fact that the team consisted of men and women from every decade, from the teens to the 80s. Shem, Ham, and Japheth were all represented. The diversity of tasks allowed for team members with various giftings to contribute to the total experience. All of this mixture made it easier for those we met to see themselves as part of the universal Body of Christ.

Thank you, Mission Discovery, for the opportunity to serve others, the interaction with the children of Bulembu, and feeling appreciated by the community for what this group accomplished. I really enjoyed our nightly gatherings to worship and discuss our God sightings of the day. This trip resulted in the forming of new friendships, strengthening my faith by seeing God working in another part of the world, and the desire to serve in future mission trips.

Great people to work with. Good activities that allowed everyone to learn about the culture and establish relationships.

This was a trip of a lifetime for me and my kids! We had the opportunity to get involved with what God was already doing in Bulembu in a way that we could contribute our talents and skills, but also learn new things. The trip was well planned out and organized! Thanks be to God!

The people! Not only the people in Bulembu but also the Mission Discovery staff. It was well organized, we had work to do, we were able to be with the people of Bulembu. It’s a blessing to see how the people are helping themselves and not expecting handouts and seeing how God is growing this community!

It was totally awesome! I connected with other volunteers who have a zeal for serving those in need. I enjoyed worshipping and praying with them. I felt like a really made a difference in the lives of people in great need. It was well-organized and well-coordinated. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life.

Went as an adult with the youth group at my church. Was excellent watching the kids work and praise God.
