Thank you the opportunity to share how impacted I was on this Missions trip to Guatemala. I felt like a lot of activities were set and packed for the days we were there; and were completed!!! I never thought I would build a new house! I could see the grateful response by the families that received the two houses (rooms) and the stove built. Of course, nothing like here in the USA but nonetheless, it was a blessing to bless others. The food and cleaning packages were received with joy by the individual families. The VBS was excellent and children actively joined what we did, between songs, activities and the biblical stories told. I did see many God sights, but one was how the people responded to our love hugs offered and received. My heart was filled with joy when the people received Jesus as Savior in many of the homes that we visited. Lastly, I made friends with some excellent special people that had the same heart full of the love of Christ like myself. There is so much more I can write... but last but not least I feel in love Guatemala and thee people. What God allowed us to do for His Glory and His Honor is priceless!!!! Thank you!!! (I would love to return)

As we arrived in Bulembu, we were greeted by staff, waving and clapping, and big hugs. We immediately felt like family. The land is stunningly beautiful, and there is a spirit of peace and love all throughout the village. We met the most kind-hearted, joy filled, loving people who love the Lord. I have never heard such beautiful singing, from the children to the adults, when they sang their voices were powerful, beautiful, and harmonized perfectly. The children, most of whom had experienced some sort of traumatic loss in their lives, seemed full of love, joy, peace, and contentment. This can only come from the presence of the Holy Spirit! I was happy to be able to help paint the bakery, and my husband, and two other gentlemen built a playground for the children to play on. The children watched with great interest as the guys started assembling the wood structure, and were so excited to get on it and try it out as soon as they finished it. It was such a blessing, seeing these children so full of love and hope, in spite of their circumstances, and so appreciative of what we as a mission discovery team were there to do. We were able to see a little into their daily lives, and it was refreshing to see their joy comes from their hope in Jesus, not the circumstances that caused them to be in the orphanage, not material things, just hope in the loving Jesus. Wow! We thought we were going to serve these children and the Aunties, but we were served more graciously. They didn’t have material things to offer, but they served love in the form of hugs, smiles, and the most beautiful praise songs my ears have ever heard, in perfect harmony and full of passion. We left Bulembu with a love for the people, a desire to return if possible, and a greater love of what God is doing all around the world.

Everything from start to finish everything was absolutely amazing. The people we worked with, the facility we stayed at, and the people we served were beyond fantastic. Mission discovery makes this trip so special every year. Ishmael and Beatrice, with mission discovery makes this trip flow so easy and with so much grace and really helps you focus on the work that Christ is doing through you. The whole experience is truly beautifully fruitful.

It was great cause I loved building and painting things and helping people in need. I also loved to see them happy when we finished a project

Mission Discovery did an outstanding job of organizing and managing all aspects of our High School Mission Trip to Puerto Rico. From transportation to job site allocation to the nightly worship an God Sightings recounting, each aspect was very well thought out and organized. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone interested.

The Discovery team of Michael, Brian and Steven were great! The organization of all aspects made the experience very smooth.

The Guatemalan people are very welcoming and appreciative of the mission work that we were doing. The children were so adorable and loving, we enjoyed their hugs. To have this experience with my husband, our two daughters and husbands was a priceless experience. Seeing them grow with helping others, in their faith and working to help others is priceless. We are grateful for the opportunity.

Christian unity in love. Love transcended denomination and ethnicity. Great leadership by Chris. Excellent food and safe hotel. Saw God move every day. Success in evangelism and our group demonstrated the love of Christ to the Guatemalans and to one another. This was my second trip with MD. Served at an aids camp for Haitians in the Bahamas in 2000 or 2001. I hope to do future trips.
