I’ve been using Mingle2 for 12 weeks now I’ve had over 100 encounters with profiles and 100% of them have been fake they take photos from instagram or even porn stars and creat false profiles and come up with a story why you should send them money if you fancy scam bating this is the site for you but above all things please don’t send money. There is a feedback area on the site so I wrote to mingle and told them about my experiences and the one time they did reply they asked me to explain in greater detail as they did not understand me, from this I deduce that they know what the coupe is and are only interested in advertising revenue. Please take heed of this and never send money to a stranger on the internet if nobody send money then these people will be out of business and the internet will be safer for everyone. Thanks for reading my revue.

Avoid it. There are other free dating websites that are much better. POF, OkCupid and ConnectingSingles just to name a few. There might be real people on there that uses Mingle2, but because there are way more scam artists (from whatever country), that the real ones don't seem legit. bottom line, steer away. It's not even worth the time to decipher who are the real people.

I've been on Badoo because it's free and then I went to Mingle2. Once again a man tried to get money from me. I reported and blocked him. Then as I was scrolling, I saw the same man I've met on Badoo again. Different name, etc. So, I've read some of the suspicious looking men's profile information. All the same. All of them are in Engineering. Contracting in South Africa, back in their own country, but love South Africa so much, want to settle in South Africa. Its all just to get money from women.

My friends signed me up for a laugh really - well, no. it was my birthday and they thought I need to get back into the business of dating and so they bought me a 3-month membership. They did a good job with my profile and I got a lot of hits every day: From Africa, America, East-Asia, and of course Russia even though my search parameters were set to 50 miles around my location. The few messages I answered turned quickly sour. Either the women turned out to be fake, scammers or needing somebody to get into the country through a fake marriage. Oftentimes they would ask for money or gifts, most wanted to get my email address with the first message, and so on. I never met my match - but if you want to learn about the bad side of human nature, sign up. The paid membership is a scam because all you get is the ability to see who read your message, surf the site anonymously, and see who matched you. You can figure out all by yourself if somebody read the message and decided to ghost you or not by checking their profile and their last login, and to find out who matched you (within your search parameters) all you have to do is to play the match game. The biggest scam of all is their 'available members' claim. I did a search, just for the fun of it, with some basic settings. It revealed 304 women that matched them. I took the time and checked every profile and found that 287 of those women hadn't signed in a very long time. Worst of all, you cannot delete your profile - you have to go through every setting and delete it manually, and even then you still have to leave some information behind. Common questions in the Help forum were about the activation of MinglePlus memberships - the money had been taken out, but even a week later the account wasn't unlocked as such. Such threads were quickly deleted though. Getting hold of customer support is a nightmare. The staff is very unhelpful and downright rude. You have to prove to them that you paid the membership fee - not by showing them the statement that they have taken the money out, but by their email verification system. In other words, if you haven't received an email from them that you are a paid-up member you are out of luck and $30.- out of pocket. Look, if you really want to use an online dating service do your research. Don't sign up to free sites, get yourself a reputable service with a monthly membership fee and try your best to create an honest profile of yourself. But whatever you do, don't use Mingle2 - have some self-respect...
