Residual Positive Changes!
My 6 year-old struggles with ADD and dysregulation regularly, more and more, it seems and when I discovered Mightier last November, it finally provided him with a place to have his own personal challenges, struggles, and WINS - without being confronted by his parents, therapists, or teachers. I could tell that the privacy and also the engagement of the games and breathing exercises were having a huge impact on his ability to regulate his emotions, take time out, take deep breaths. He even started subconsciously doing some of this BEFORE Gizmo popped up to teach calming exercises! The beauty of Mightier, is that it meets the children where they are at: the world has screens, everyone uses them, kids are no different. Mightier also plants a seed in them, that grows into a social skillset the children foster in other aspects of their lives. I've seen my own kid use the techniques outside of, and after playing the games, so Mightier's "therapy" aspect is a big deal in that it continues AFTER the "session" - like most successful programs!
