Midnight VelvetReviews of midnightvelvet.com

Midnight Velvet magazine please stop! I have no use for their products and have no plans to buy from them. The magazine has been coming to my address consistently even though I haven't ordered from them in years. I just wish they would stop mailing a useless waste of paper to me every few weeks!

This company is starving for money. For 2 years I've requested to removed from receiving physical catalogs. I'm always told it will take a few weeks. It's been 2 years and I'm still getting them. I don't trust them. I don't like their clothing. I don't like that they publish on the cover "You're Pre-approved ". Every company that I made the same request to has honored my request. This company has some serious issues.

I ordered an item and never received it. They sent me someone else's order from an entirely different state! I refuse to pay to send it back and they don't offer a courier to come and retrieve the wrong item. I don't own a vehicle and I am on a fixed income. I can't afford to pay to ship back THEIR MISTAKE! I also NEVER RECEIVED THE CORRECT ITEM that I ordered! They most likely sent mine to someone else! ALSO: I have decent credit and a large available credit limit with their but now, pay later plan. I recently went to order something very inexpensive and they actually had the GALL to ask for a down payment! However, they asked for the FULL AMOUNT for a down payment instead of just a percentage! Number one: I shouldn't have to pay anything as I have a lot of available credit left with them. Number 2: I think they need to go back to school and learn that a DOWN PAYMENT means only a percentage NOT THE ENTIRE AMOUNT! I AM DONE WITH THESE PEOPLE! THEY ARE HORRIBLE! Word to the wise, don't make the mistake of ordering from them! They are a bad company! 🤬

I opened an account with these people, ordered an item, was offered Free Shipping with their Plus service, but I never received the free shipping. When I got the item, I returned it because it wasn't the color that I liked. I paid and return the items. However, I was given a return for the items and was left with a balance of $22. I've attempted to reconcile with these people, but they are angry that I returned the item. And in the process of trying to resolve this matter, my credit took a big hit for them reporting this account as late. I would never order from them again. I hate the fact that I have to pay for not wanting an item. This is not a good business practice.

I ordered a pair of 59.00$ sandals which came to $90.04 after tariff /shipping. Wanted to do a return for a larger size they said no because it was my fault. I know my shoe size but apparently Azela Wang shoes are cut smaller. They will for sure loose a loyal customer. This is ridiculous never again.

In all the years I've been ordering from MIDNIGHT VELVET I'VE NEVER HAD AN INQUIRY ON MY CREDIT BECAUSE I'VE HAD AN OPEN ACCOUNT FOR YEARS WITH THEM NOW IN 2026 I PURCHASE A 79.99 DRESS AND THERE IS A CONGRATULATIONS YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN APPROVED WHAT!!!!! MIDNIGHT PULLED MY CREDIT FOR A 111.00 PURCHASE IM BEYOND ANGRY 😡YOU JUST LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER SHIPPING IS OUTRAGEOUS TARIFF FEES OUTRAGEOUS AND THEN THEY TAX YOU I'M WHOLEHEARTEDLY WAITING FOR THE CLOSURE OR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM I'M TRYING TO BUILD CREDIT AND THIS IS THE MESS THEY DO NO REASON TO PULL CREDIT ON A 79.00 DOLLAR DRESS NEVER AGAIN😡

Wanted to get my grandma a very nice dress for her 97th birthday this year and she saw this dress. The dress isn’t expensive it’s 140 but the shipping and handling is crazy. 3 types of shipping fees which came out to over $60 for just shipping and handling y’all are straight stealing from people nowadays that is crazy. I will not be buying this dress from y’all and I cannot believe y’all still have customers with all the other reviews and what I’ve heard about the company don’t even waste your money on these people.

Placed an order 3/16/2026, was charged $20.14 in Tariff fees and $31.98 in shipping. Today 3/17/2026 attempted to cancel the order and was told I could not. Shameful that the prices are higher than most places and they gouge customers in charges.
