Terrible and Inconsistent Cust Service. Our long time local bank was bought out by MidFlorida and the experience has just been terrible for our business. Communication is weak, inconsistent and overall feels like we have rookies managing our banking transactions. If you are looking for a new banking institution, I can not recommend MidFlorida.

Let me start by saying I'm a huge credit union fan and have been for years. The only reason I bank with one of the mega conglomerate banks is because my tenants bank with them and it makes it easy to transfer rent payments. My original credit union, which I loved, was acquired by MidFlorida about ten years ago. Since then, customer service has been the worst. Worse than Comcast, if you can imagine that! My latest nightmare has been in attempting to transfer funds - both internally and externally. 1st, I tried transferring funds from an externally linked account to pay off my HELOC. The most they would let me pay was $2000. I had to physically walk into a branch and write them a check for the payoff. Then, this week, I am trying to pay a handyman from my MFCU account through Zelle. They cancelled my payment for $2000 and restricted my account claiming they need to verify my identity. I've had this account for over 30 years, the last 10 of which has been with MF. I've called in twice to find out what gives and both times I was told it would take 24 hours. The most recent call was to a rep named "Jack" who swore to me my Zelle payment would go through that day. I'll still maintain an account but I can't trust them to be my primary like I used to.

It’s just a bank. Nothing special. But when you walk into a branch they act if it’s a problem. And calling them they act as if it’s a huge inconvenience on their part. If you can use somewhere else I’d do it.
