I wish they would bring back the old design from 5 years ago. I still wear them now abs everyone loves the style. They have a toe piece and nice bow design made from cotton going across the front +strap and at the back 2 adjustable straps. Best sandle I have ever brought. I have also been in the sea and still kept the colour and comfort. Please bring the design back.

I feel bad that the quality of shoes…
I feel bad that the quality of shoes have changed. The shoes my mom and my self love wearing are no longer in production. I ordered a new pair, the ENCORE MOC 4 and am disappointed at the material and fit. Feels like canvas vs the similar style few years back. I regret not storing a few of them. I tried on the old pair my mom has and compared with the new ones. What a difference! Old ones has good arch support where as the current order arch support sucks.

I had 3 pair of Merrells that I loved
I had 3 pair of Merrells that I loved. I went to put them on the other day and all 3 pair completely seperated at the sole. You'd have to give me replacements before I wore them again, because I refuse to buy any more.

I've been an AVID customer of Merrill…
I've been an AVID customer of Merrill sneakers for well over 25 years. Unfortunately, like so many other mid-range manufacturers Merrill's products have dropped SEVERELY in both qualities of materials used, as well as the craftsmanship.
The last 5 pairs of Cham's I've ordered, ALL HAVE BEEN RETURNED. I have approx. 9 pairs in various colors that I purchased several years ago. Fortunately, when I placed these orders, I generally order at least two pairs (in colors that I like as well as colors available at the time) Compared to old stock, the newly manufactured stock is SO FAR BELOW what use to be MERRILL'S STANDARDS, the new (within the last 5 years or so) stock is GARBAGE & I will, after almost 30 years, no longer be a customer.
In addition, Merrill has increased prices, while lowering all standards ibn materials & workmanship. The "lasts" that are used in the manufacturing process leaves much to be desired, as well as everything else stated above.
Until things drastically change for the better, I must say; GOODBY MERRILL!!!

I have had two pairs of Merrell walking/ hiking boots. The first pair costing just less than £100 started to come apart after a year with the sole coming adrift from the uppers and also developing a hole in the fabric area . I figured that because they were so comfortable that I must have just had a duff pair and bought a pair of hiking boots and hey ho after around a year they too are falling to bits . Both pairs were comfortable but did not do enough miles to warrant the problems . Sorry but never ever will I buy Merrells again and I suggest that you don't too .

Merrell Moab 2 not so waterproof after all
Had a pair of Merrell Moab 2 Mid Waterproof boots for a year now (my third pair, I've been a fan for a while, they tend to last about a year) but sadly now even a walk in heavy dew renders my feet sodden. Emailed Merrell who asked me to photograph the problem. Understandably puzzled as to how you photograph boots that leak, no-one want to see a shot of my wet feet. They're very comfortable but do be aware that their idea of 'waterproof' is sketchy at best. Having said that they were very waterproof for a bit, though of course if they don't stay that way (despite my waterproofing them regularly - belt and braces after all) then it's not much of a comfort.

I've had lots of Merrell walking shoes…
I've had lots of Merrell walking shoes over I guess the last 20 years. I'm not a heavy person and am not heavy on my feet. I recently had two pairs of Annex Low which both wore through on the heels whilst the front soles and tops were hardly worn. MOAB and Moab vent heading the same way. Sadly no way of re heeling shoes like this, talk about throw away fashion, the amount of shoes thrown away due to poor design must be staggering. I remember an early pair of Merrells I wore and wore then handed down to my Dad when I got some new ones, the soles were fine.

No longer a fan!
I have been buying the same pair of Merrell Men's Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoes for 5 times. The first two or three were great shoes. The last two or three have definitely declined in quality. I am not planning on buying them again. The last pairs felt cheap and came with a strong manufacturing odor, very unpleasant.
