What has happened to Merrell - i have bought shoes and boots for many years but the quality now is so bad that they are not worth considering. Waterproof - no way, even the most expensive are not Long lasting - they used to be - not any more, they literally fall apart Quality - used to be a byword - now very shoddy Customer Service - don't even bother, they don't want to know Maybe someone can tell me what happened but for now i have 4 pairs of expensive wet boots/shoes which cost me a fortune. Sorry Merrell but i am no longer a customer.

Bought a pair of Merrell Moab 2 ventilator low very recently which retail at around £100 Advertised as a hiking shoe they fall a little short on that description. Despite having a tough looking Vibram sole the inner part of the shoe directly above the sole is extremely thin. Walking on anything other than a perfectly flat surface feels like walking over gravel in socks. I have since added an additional inner sole which has helped a bit but still totally unsuitable for hiking. These shoes could do with a plate above the sole and a much thicker insole. Otherwise these shoes are only useable as everyday trainers on flat surfaces. Sadly I did look at several positive online reviews before buying them which makes me wonder who actually wrote these reviews.

TRIED to order a pair of boots; website wouldn't allow it to go through. Tried two different computers, three different browsers -- all failed. TRIED to contact the company several times to get help (through their website, by email, and dm) -- NO response. Found what I was looking for at another company (Back Country), placed the order within minutes, received the boots in a few days. Will NEVER (TRY to) do business with Merrell again.

Dear All, I've bought some flip flops for $100 (Merrell via Amazon). After a week the soles just broke down (two types of materials which are not connected properly). Very POOR quality. Customer service is not helping.... Please AVOID MERRELL

I bought a pair of Moab 2 summer walking boots which cost over £100 ,they have a sole made from two materials which started to separate after just a couple of weeks , Obviously a manufacturing defect. Merrel customer services just didn’t want to know and their replacement guarantee is not worth the ink to print it as they slimed their way out of any responsibility. Quality and service are very poor.

I had a pair of Merrell gore-tex boots which were letting in more water than a flip-flop so contacted Merrell who swapped them out for a pair of MOAB 2 Gore-tex boots. However these are also absolutely useless at keeping out water. I cant believe these boots are over a £100 and claiming to be Gore-tex. Please everyone out there, do not buy if you want a pair of waterproof hiking boots as it appears that Merrell no longer make any.

So you can order shoes free shipping free returns however still waiting over three in a half weeks for my credit back on my card. Customer service is terrible they take 2 -3 days to respond to a email and then give the sane answer every time. I will never will order again. Stay clear of their company.
