Recently bought a new pair of Merrell walking shoes as the first pair I had were very good. This new pair only lasted a few weeks before the rubber on both started to give way and deteriorate. Big holes and lets the water in. Useless to wear unless its pavement and not raining. Because I had them in a box for a few months until I wore the first set out, they were out of warranty but were supposed to be new for me and had only walked a few miles. Absolute rubbish materials and will never buy another pair from this company ever! No joy in getting a refund... as they were technically out of warranty!

I purchased a pair of kids shoes that, when received, they were just too heavy for my daughter so I returned them and purchased another pair of Merrells which have worked out great. Unfortunately Merrells Customer Service decided not to refund my $119 for the first pair because the box was damaged when they received it back. They told me over and over how it was stated in their "returns policy" that they had the right to refuse refunds if the box was damaged. Even after escalating this to the 'head of returns' or whatever the title is... they still wouldn't budge from their process. Very disappointing when a company is so wrapped up in process that they can't actually provide any customer service to a long time customer. That was the 4th pair of Merrells I have bought.... AND THE LAST!

My first pair lasted about 8 years. The recent pair about 8 days. Started to feel a bit funny on the sole, then I noticed that the sole was detaching from the upper. Bought through a third party, who after some holdup finally refunded

Only had the walking shoes 6 weeks , with limited use, and the heel tread has worn down and a large piece of tread has broken off on one foot . The heel tread on the other foot has also worn into a hole,and looks like its going the same way. They are being returned under warranty , this is the first time buying Merrell ,very disappointed !

I bought a hiking shoe and am in the process of trying to return it. I am returning it because the back heel part to the shoe hits your heal at a very low point and rubs constantly. This shoe is very ill-fitting on the heel but otherwise feels really comfortable. Now I am in the process of trying to exchange the hiking shoe for a hiking boot. The website only allows you the option to exchange for the same shoe no option to exchange for another product. I tried the chat and no one is ever available to chat. Now I am calling and have been on hold for 40 minutes and counting. I am about to give up for the day. This is a crazy bad service and I think I will never by another product form these people.

I have bought a lot of MerreII footwear in the past and have always been satisfied with the quality and comfort. However I am very disappointed in a pair of their walking shoes which I bought a couple of years ago. Shortly after buying them I became ill and subsequently have only been able to walk short distances. So the shoes have had little wear which is apparent in the appearance of the upper and soles. But the padding on the heel has completely worn away on one shoe which is causing blisters even on the short walks which I do. I feel that the quality is not acceptable especially given the price.

Online customer service for faulty shoes deficient. After two weeks shoes had hole at stitching from little use. Bought online so no comeback if faulty as they don’t acknowledge issue and say you need to wear them in. So unsatisfactory

Awful service - I ordered a pair of Jungle Mocs on 4/17/20. The charge to my debit card was immediate. They arrived on 4/23/20 and did not fit correctly. I received an RMA and mailed them back to Merrell on 4/24/20 requesting an exchange. The new pair did not arrive until 5/11/20 (2 1/2 weeks later) even though my return was received by Merrell on 4/28/20. That pair did not fit well either so I requested and RMA and returned them on 5/12/20 for a refund. They were received at Merrell on 5/18/20. I received an e-mail on 5/27/20 (9 days later) that my shoes were "successfully returned." To date, 6/2/20, no refund has appeared on my debit card and customer service said it should take another 3-5 days. Customer service keeps blaming it on Covid-19 staffing yet reviews like this go back way before. POOR POOR POOR for Merrell. I will never buy another Merrell product.
