Very comfortable however after 8 months use on weekly walks (4.5 miles each) one lace loop has pulled off and the rubber toe protector on one boot has split. I expected the Moab boots to last longer.

I have been wearing Merrell shoes for 30 years. I have always loved them, they solved a foot problem I have. But the last few years I have noticed the quality of the shoes going down while the price contiues to go up. They dont last as long as they used to, they seem to stretch the first week you wear them. The last 3 pair Ive bought have had a problem with a squik in the heal when I walk, on the same side. Ive had to start buying them 1/2 size smaller to allow for strech. The boxes always had tags saying genuine leather uppers. Now I ser nothing in the box or on it saying genuine leather uppers. This makes mr wonder if vegan leather is being used. I may need to start looking for another brand of shoes. I have 20 pair of Mellers in my closet, all the older ones are better.

Basically they are very comfy with a decent Vibram sole but they literally fall apart after 12 months. Splits and holes appear where the shoe flexes. Definitely not worth the money.

Merrell boots fit me great. I love there boots. However a $160 pair of tactical waterproof boots only last 350 miles. Which is about 2-3 months for me. (6 miles a day on dirt and grass) So I have to buy 4 pairs a year just to walk around my ranch all year.

I have been buying only Merrell shoes for 10 years. The Merrell shoes don't aggravate my plantar fasciitis. The last five pair I have bought the rubber on the toe continuously starts to come off and I have to super glue it on. From the store manager she says they know the problem. I have bought my past pair if Merrill's. Switched to Rockport so far so good.

I have been a client,t for some years, and generally, I like to use trekking shoes that allow water to drain and my feet to breathe. I walked 12 days for 190 km around "Mont Blanc" and ended with no injuries on my feet. I do understand that the shoes were at their end of life after this. !! >> I do not understand that my last Merrel shoes, which I did not use so much, are already ruined after only five months. Something is changing at Merrel the last time. I do not trust the shoes anymore, and I will have to find what I need from other vendors. Sorry to know Merrel shoes are not aligned with my expectations.

Two years in a row I got Merrell hiking shoes as a Christmas present.I use them for casual hiking. Both times they never made it a full year. The first year the soles separated from the shoe, this year the stitching is coming loose at 4 different places.I’ve had better luck with cheaper hiking shoes.Don’t buy these shoes.
