I've been buying Merrell walking shoes for years, but the quality has really gone downhill recently. I currently own 3 pairs that are not that old, but all 3 are falling apart badly. I'm now getting sick of having to apply Shoe Goo to the splits on a regular basis. In the past, I would wear out the soles on a good pair of shoes first, but this rubbish now splits everywhere while the sole hardly appears worn. Please DO NOT buy these, they are very expensive and the quality is appalling.

Purchased a pair of Moab2 hiking boots around Jan 2020. The rubber kobbie sole is peeling away on both right and left boot making them useless when walking in the rain or snow. Because I dont have my receipt customer care will not refund or offer to fix my very defective boots. New refund policy is a joke. Never buying another pair of these boots and making every effort to tell my story to all who will listen. Buyer beware !!

Rarely used. Shoddy quality

These are the worst shoes I've ever seen on icy surfaces. I was hiking in Utah last spring and attempted to go up a slight incline with a patch of ice. NO WAY! I couldn't even get on it without falling. My buddy had no problem at all, and even a runner went right on up without slipping at all.

Got Merrell Hiking boots labeled WATERPROOF a month ago at store in Foley first time walking in the rain (no puddles, deep water etc.) and feet and shoes were soaked after 5 minutes. Two days later the shoes are still soaked and ruined. Going to Columbia and getting REAL waterproof boots.

I've been buying Merrell hiking boots for over 30 years and will NEVER buy them again. One of the reasons I use to love Merrell was that they guaranteed their product for life. Not any more.... just one year. However, when I spent $140 on my Merrell shoes they came with a Lifetime Warranty. I called Merrell customer support and spoke to Angela who was VERY rude!! She tried to explain that "lifetime" meant 6-12 months. Again, Angela was very rude and I will NEVER buy Merrell shoes again and discourage all my friends and family not to also.

I have a pair of Merril boots ankle highs, leather. they were supose to be 100 % water proof. they are not!!, they always get my feet wet. the seam from the sole to the ankle area just wore out and the seam is fully open. my receipt is lost and they will not warranty, terrible to work with. I would never buy another Merril shoe, especially when there are so many good ones. MADE IN CHINA JUNK! A VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER Ollie

I have a pair of Merrill chameleon trainers that are literally falling apart after under 5 months Contacted Merrill by email on numerous occasions but no response so I am now contacting trading standards to help sort their very poor substandard product out and eventually get a refund it’s a shame I have to go to these lengths to get a refund or replacement but such is life Putty I can’t add photos so you can see the extent of the problem
