Not waterproof
Walking shoes are comfortable but definitely not waterproof. All breathable fabric on the upper lets water in. Socks are soaked.

I have had Merrell walking boots before and they have been OK to be fair, but ordered two pairs of shoes and they were a very weird fit so had to return. The return process is just awful. Despite having a UK company address, returns are via UPS to The Netherlands. My return was sent on September 28th and not shown as received until October 14th. I emailed a couple of times and received no response, which is particularly annoying to most people and just makes customers unnecessarily poorly disposed to the company. Basic stuff really. My refund has yet to come, but is in the PayPal system so I assume it will turf up before too long. I have unsubscribed from emails and will not order again. Merrell UK are shooting themselves in the foot for no good reason. Maybe new management is required in the UK, as other countries seem to be well thought of.

Bought the Merrell Men's Moab 3 GTX Hiking Shoe in May 24 . Although the shoe is comfortable there grip on wet hard surfaces is really poor , feel it’s an accident waiting to happen . Merrell customer services weren’t interested just a generic reply .

I’ve bought many Merrell shoes over the years and I’ve loved them. I’m not sure what happened but now I’m on my second pair with the sole falling apart, and Merrell is not interested in doing anything about it. Years ago, they stood behind their products, they no longer do this. I would not suggest buying Merrell as they are expensive and if they’re going to fall apart, well?

I bought a pair of shoes named 'Moab Speed Low A/C Waterproof' bottom of the shoes is just coming off, and neck part is just worn off badly. Total waste of money. Order number is W1082865343

Having bought 3 pairs of Merrell men’s shoes they are clearly a comfortable fit. However the wrap around toe section of the sole of one of the second pair was not glued to the leather properly. It was a minor flaw that gradually got bigger. When I raised this with customer service I got the standard - ‘we’re sorry you’re unhappy etc so I suggested I take them to a shoemaker and they pay. When told this wasn’t possible I proposed sending photos and perhaps getting a discount on my 4th pair when the time comes. I sent the photos but got no response or acknowledgment which I feel is pretty poor customer service.

OK. After eight months, the sole is coming away from the base and they hurt my feet. I cannot tell you, the name of the specific model, sorry. Sorry this hasn't worked. Yours, Ben.

Very disappointed with my new Merrell MOAD Speed GoreTex. Toe protectors peeling away after a single 5 mile trek and a few dog walks. I've always been very happy with the brand - I have Merrell walking shoes that are 5+ years old, and apart from reasonable wear and tear, are still very usable. My MOAB Speeds may well be the last pair of Merrells I ever buy. Really, really disappointed...
