MerrellReviews of merrell.com

This review is about the District Muri Slide. I have somewhat wide feet, but this slide in medium width is actually too wide and I walk out of them. I've purchased 5 pairs of shoes from Merrell and this is the only time I've not been satisfied. I would have returned them before wearing them outside had I thought width might be an issue.

HAVING PURCHASED a pair of Merrell Moab Chelsea Boots I found the soles were parting from the uppers. I simply requested a new pair under 1 year warranty from the merchant who had none in stock and offered a refund. I really wanted a fresh pair but my direct appeal to Merrell for help was rejected by their 'customer service' department who just suggested I accept the refund offer...no interest in helping and no concern for the faulty boots. Their websites proclaim their ethical stance...there is none. I will avoid them in future. I really thought they'd be nice and helpful.. they don't care.

Gave a pair of Merrell hiking boots to my brother. The front leather portion separated from the sole and peeled back after about 6 months. I thought it was due to his employment at cleaning carpets. I had an identical pair 1/2 size larger and they seemed to be ok, but I was hardly wearing them. Once I started to wear them regularly they did exactly the same thing. Merrell says that because they are over a year old there's no warranty. They offered me a 15% discount on my next purchase, but why would I want to buy from a company that sells stuff that doesn't stand up to a bit of wear?

I got my very first pair of Merrell running shoes a few years back and used it for occasional run-walk exercise. I paused for what seemed like a year and went back to wearing it, and was totally surprised when while I was doing a run/walk interval, the front part just worn open, and I was like 'Really? This is Merrell?' I've been a fan before because I thought the brand was sturdy, but I'm not believing their advertisements anymore. When I brought it to the nearest shoe repair shop, even the shoe repair guy himself was quite surprised that such a brand can easily be worn out, considering that its sole is Vibram. No more Merrell for me.

I have a few pairs of your boots and they are ok. I would like to know if they are made by slave labor like Nikes in China. Is your company anti-American, as they support terrorist organizations such as BLM. The co founder of BLM admits that they are a Marxist org. I don't think your company would do as well in communist country. Did you people think this through? I think you did this to pay protection to these organizations so when the riots come to your town they might spare your company, but I don't think so. Thank you, John Costanza

Do not attempt to return any product to Merrell. They refuse to accommodate a valid return. Will never shop with them again.

Bought a pair to walk the dogs . Supposed to be waterproof but failed after 2 days. Very poor indeed.

Not what they used to be! I was fan of their shoes for a long time but the last two were totally disappointing. No quality at all. I have now a pair of Merrell MQM Flex Mid and one of Merrell Moab 2 Goretex that can only be used on sunny days at a shopping center!! Not outdoor because the rubber is so bad that I'm always slipping. No way I'm going to risk using them at the mountains.
