Rented 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath Netarts Sundown July 2026. Disappointed by Meredith Lodging. Location was good. But The foosball game in the family room is dangerous. The legs are breaking the player “rods” can be pulled out or jammed onto opponents stomach. It should be scrapped. The carafe does not fit the ancient garbage coffee maker properly. Home is decorated worse than a dorm room. The furniture was clearly picked up a yard sale or curb discards as well as the kitchen inventory. I would be embarrassed to entertain anyone at this residence. The front steps are treacherous. Lack of outdoor table and chairs. The lint door opening cut everyone that used it. A dismal property

Stayed last fall in a house in Rockaway Beach. I hesitated to write this review initially because I gave them an opportunity to make things right. I reached out, shared all the feedback about our stay and never heard a word back. The property itself is a 2 out of 5. The 2 is for the top floor and the middle level master and the incredible view. The two other bedrooms in the "newer' section are also fine. However, it was very disappointing to use Meredith Lodging after several years of renting from them. This was the worst experience. The home has no railings on the stairs from the extremely disappointing entrance to the home. This makes it incredibly difficult for anyone with any sort of walking challenges to even get in. In addition, the lighting makes it almost impossible to try and see what you are doing and to try and find the stairs. It's dark, dingy, smelly and wholly unwelcoming. The keyless entry did not work. We spent almost 40 min upon arrival trying to get in as we worked with their team. There were two gals were nice, but no one could resolve during that time. Two lights were out inside on the middle level, so we were unable to find the other light switches easily. An alarm on the heater was going off (similar to a fire alarm) every 30 seconds. There was trash left in the garbage cans upstairs and in the hall bathroom. The two bedrooms on the 'older' side of the house were two of the worst bedrooms with aluminum foil on the windows and an old/stale smell that permeated both rooms. The main level hall bathroom shower flooded after the first shower and took almost 45 min to drain. All of these things were communicated at the time of the stay or immediately following. We received one email saying they were sorry and would look into it. Heard nothing back. The property title in VRBO is listed as 'Oceanfront Private Beach Access Fenced Yard Dog OK '. Very disappointing and as we look to schedule a 50-person reunion on the Oregon Coast, we know we will not be using ML, unfortunately.

We rented a home with a hot tub specifically for the purpose of having a hot tub. When we arrived the hot tub was filthy. When I called Meredith Lodging to let them know about it they told me they would send someone out first thing the next day. No one ever showed up and we never heard back from them. All I ever got from them was an apology and a $50 refund. They did not care at all and I won’t use them again. I should have read these reviews before I rented from them.

Most everything in the house was worn out. The Jen-air we had for a microwave shorted and popped breakers. The sink faucet had no aerator in it and the water sprayed everywhere. BBQ tank was empty and we had to use our own till they replaced and the BBQ was burned up. All patio doors did not work properly and all cooking pots and pans were worn out and destroyed. I wouldn't of used the pots as a dog bowl.

So far my experience has been dissapointing. I have two upcoming rentals and everything I request, and these things are very small. Like if the property was ready, coild we check in 30 minutes early. NO! Anyway, they do not bend from theb“rules“. ! Lind of rediculous.

House we stayed in on Devil's Lake in Oregon was not at all what the pictures depicted. The house was very old and worn and not very clean. Fridge did not work well either. I wrote a review and they are not posting it. They have only posted 1 review for 2024 and it is now almost November. I will not rent from Meredith Lodging again as they pick and choose which reviews to post.

I paid an exorbitant amount for an ocean front rental on the Oregon coast. The 1960s home was badly rundown, reeked of mildew, and offered an ancient lumpy mattress. The garbage disposal was broken when we arrived and remained that way during our 5 night stay despite my repeated pleas to repair it. The smell of rotting food overlaid the mildew spell. First and last rental experience with Meredith lodging.

Bear Lodge (12) at Big Bear Lake. Feb 22-24. Tim Nuqui - Some pillows smelled like old sweat. - Master bath has a huge window with no blinds or a curtain so people outside can almost watch you shower - The rear burners on the electric stove barely heats up. - As a winter vacation destination, the house should come with at least a snow shovel if management will not help to dig the vehicles out of the snowed-in drive way. The neighbors had to help after seeing us use a sled to move snow all over our cars. - The office opens at 8 am but no one answers the phone. - Day 2 of our reservation, the winter storm plus blizzard was happening. We did not want to risk traveling especially with little kids. Yes we could've not proceeded with the trip and forfeit our money but the point was, we didnt expect the weather to be that bad. I find it understandable that we were not allowed to extend our stay due to another guest arriving. However, a lady on the phone from the office promised us that they were going to look out for us and help us move into another property should the weather worsen...when the time came, all I got was "Sorry, we got nothing available for you. Try to drive safe out there..." ...that was colder than the weather, but i guess it's just business sooo....take that one however you want. All in all, nice property. Nicer than management for sure.
