We purchased the gate and liked its quality and style, it seemed safe and it met our objectives. I went ahead and bought 2 more gates to barriers we rescue and foster cats and kittens and most of the time they have to be separated. I recently purchased 2 more gates but the meshing is electric and my 1 year old cat Star put her head through the netting and she panicked and she fatally hung herself. It is very traumatic for my family and I. We are wry very upset to say the least. DO NOT BUY THiS NEW VERSION OF THIS GATE! The elastic netting is too easy to slip their head through .
