Do NOT hire Menards
I would strongly recommend against hiring Menards moving. Their salesman do not know their jobs I was misquoted and the company would not stand behind the quote. Go with someone else and avoid menards!

This is the most horrible moving company we have ever delt with. They don't stick to their own contracts. They try to get over on the elderly, they have federal guidelines on the site and still don't follow them. I bet they don't respond to negative messages. They know they be wrong. My mom was over charged and her stuff is still missing. All they do is give run around.

One of the worst. They cannot refund you anything. I followed with them for a return of my deposit after I cancelled not to move with them until I gave up. 0 stars would have been great.

My husband whom is disabled and myself was contacted by a representative from Menards Moving & Storage after looking on line for movers. The representative's name was Josh and I ask him several times if I could cancel at ANYtime and his response was YES at ANYtime, so we proceeded and gave our deposit of $990.00 on 9-13-2024..I called to cancel on 10-03-2024 but was told i wouldn't get my deposit back because we were outside the cancelation winfow for a refund. I explained that wasn't what i was told. I proceeded to talk with the owner J.Menard and he said that he would listen to the conversation(as it was recorded) and he would get back to me, several weeks later I called him again and he said he did listen to the conversation and I was right that the representative did say i could get a refund at ANYtime. Mr.Menard said that he would put in a request for our deposit to be refunded, as of today May 4,2025 my calls and emails from Mr.Menard is no longer being answered or responded to. Please help me get my money back as we are on social security trying to make ends meet.

WARNING! Do NOT use Menards Moving. So you're sitting there thinking "honestly, how bad can it be?" Well, as a person who was in your shoes a month ago, take my word and my lost $1,300 "deposit" as a cautionary tale: it's bad. I got a phone call from a Menard's salesperson named Phil after putting my info into a form looking for movers. I really thought I did my due diligence. I asked Phil multiple times if Menards was a broker, he said no. I asked him how they could afford to give me such a low rate ($2,700 to move my parents two bedroom house to Tucson from Reno). He said it's because they move people directly. He even gave me his number "just in case something went wrong." But I HAD to sign the contract immediately, or else he couldn't guarantee me my rate. HA! Cut to the next week, when I get a call from a different Menards employee who tells me that I have 430 cubic feet in a truck. Roughly the size of a small van. I explain to the employee that I told Phil I wanted a whole 26" moving truck, and that he told me the rate he provided was for that. The employee says for an upgrade to 1200 cubic feet I would have to pay double what Phil told me. Here's the kicker: I even got Phil on the phone with this employee and asked him, point blank, did you tell me you were not a broker? He admits he did tell me that. I say, didn't I tell you I wanted a 26' truck? He admits that I did. I ask this other guy, do you see the problem here? Your salesperson outright lied to me. I'm told it's my problem, and I need to fork over $500 that day to hold my spot. So I this point I realize I don't trust these people to move my dying father with dementia, and I walk away from the move. I dispute the charge with their accounting office due to misrepresentation of services, and they tell me to take a hike. I call their "customer service" line, and I get told "you signed the contract". Yeah bro, because your boy rushed me on the phone and assured me that what the "quote" said didn't matter, what mattered is what he was saying. I honestly don't know how these people sleep at night. So book someone else, book literally ANYONE else, hire the dude standing on the corner and his buddies and rent your own dang U-Haul because you will 1000% be better off then going with these people.

Don’t go with Menards Moving & Storage We paid a $3051 deposit on June 26, 2024 - we canceled within the cancellation window and Sierra confirmed they would mail a full refund within 30 days. We did not use their services for the move and it’s now April 2025 and we still don’t have the refund. We have made dozens and dozens of calls and I have exchanged hundreds of texts with Joseph Menard the owner. He has said many times he will pay but has not refunded us in full. He’s always got an excuse for why, but it’s almost been a year and we have not gotten our refund.
