This whole college experience this time around has been short than a nightmare.

In general, this webinar was interesting for families who have literally no idea how to start thinking about college. When my husband and I signed up for it, we expected it to focus more on how to pay for college rather than how to choose a college or apply to college. Because it was presented by MEFA, we expected to hear more about financial aid and the FAFSA, so it just wan't particularly useful for us.

The panel of experts spent so much time introducing themselves and talking about whatever institutions they were from that it detracted from the actual topics. It was probably the first 30 minutes to go through the panel. Way too long for that.

I thought there would be more information regarding repayment options and how to select the best one.

The webinar was great but when I reached out for help no one responded to my email. I ended up just working my way through the FAFSA alone,

the college admissions webinar given in August was really aimed at families with Juniors in the spring, so too late for us with a rising Senior, and too early for other families. Would have appreciated a more specific program description on the website so we would've known it was not for us.

Good info. Not the most engaging presentation.
