I pay $668.00/mnth for health insurance. I was scheduled to have an MRI on my foot. The billing clerk explained that with my insurance I would still have to pay $2,940.00 for the MRI and than additional $1,200.00 for radiology for read it. I have a PPO. Which means I can go to any Doctor so I wasn't "Out Of Network" . The billing clerk offered MdSave. She explained that if I paid for it myself "out of pocket" the cost would be $568.00 and no additional cost from radiology. Savings of $3,572.00... LESS THAN MY MONTHLY PREMIUM.. Yes, Ma'am, I'll take it.. Then she further explained how I can use that for filing a MdSave purchase towards any deductible I may have. Thank you MdSave -- you truly are a blessing..
