Thank you MDSave. I've been without insurance for 10 years. With the help of this program I'm able to get affordable care. My recent labs cost me $88, the cost without MDSave would have been about $450.

MD Save allowed me to have the scan I needed and saved me almost $2,000. I am thankful this opportunity was presented to me as an option; otherwise I am not sure I would have been able to have the scan.

I was really happy with the option to know upfront the WHOLE amount that I'd be liable for when having a procedure done. I think this is an excellent step in the right direction for the health industry. That being said, MDsave advertised that I could submit the cost to my insurance as a claim and at the very least it could go towards my deductible. Blue Cross Blue Shield wouldn't even consider it as a claim because they had no idea who or what MDSave was. They said as a 3rd party, out-of-network voucher, it wouldn't even be considered, so don't bet on that, just buy your procedure content with the fact that you won't get hit with any surprise bills later on.
