I wasn't able to get the CPT codes from the doctor's office but I was able to get the receptionist at the hospital to get these for me but I still think she chose the wrong procedure and I paid more than I needed to. This is a great service and saved me some money but it's not very user friendly and trying to ensure that I get the right codes for my procedure is difficult. I still appreciate the service you provide.

Read this for tips. I had a lot of trouble finding a doctor that would accept the voucher. Long story short, make sure the doctor you want to use is still doing the exact surgery at the exact facility listed on the website. Sounds obvious but there are nuances. First, you have to find an office who knows what MDSave is. Most receptionists had no clue. So I had to try to educate them. That was fun. When I did "find" a provider, at the last moment, the office realized realized that while he did still operate at the approved facility, the ONE surgery he did not do there was the one I needed. The customer service reps at MDSave and Care credit were pretty responsive with updating, canceling, and reissuing my vouchers. In the end, I had to drive 2-1/2 hours away to a different state to use the voucher. There was an issue with transferring the prescriptions from state to state but luckily the Walgreens pharmacist figured it out for me. One thing that I did not consider was this. I had my surgery and during the procedure, they discovered another issue, so I had to stay overnight for another procedure the next day. I still have not received that bill and I'm scared to death to see how much it's going to cost. It's good to have a backup plan like a health share plan. I use Zion but I'm not sure if my procedure will be considered a pre-existing condition since I just joined them. Anyway, this is a good product but just make sure every single detail is confirmed on the voucher, and have a back-up plan for anything else that is discovered during your surgery. Be prepared to travel to a smaller market. I am in Nashville and had to go to Florence, Alabama.

I scheduled the appointment on the MD save website, the location they scheduled me at did not offer the procedure, they added a transfer fee 15 minutes before my procedure (not a large fee but unexpected). The customer service representative was unhelpful and refused to remove the fee that was a result of their own internal error on their website. They acknowledged it was an error between them and the hospital and still passed the fee onto me the customer.

It was a nice and pleasant experience everything was good except the status of my results . I also, wasn’t clear on the new prescription I received. Overall I been happy with the staff.

The staff at the hospital did not keep my family informed during the surgery. I felt rushed out of the hospital after the surgery and I was not given a snack or drink after waking up before being discharged.

The process was easy, but after the purchase the hospital sent me numerous quotes that were $60 less for my imaging than what I paid through MDsave…so was a little confused on my ‘savings’. $212 vs $153 is a big difference. Will call the hospital imaging folks first next time.
