It was a problem to redeem. The check-in person knew it was a valid form of payment but nobody knew how to enter it into the system.

They charged more for the CT under Medicare than what the hospital quoted.

love the concept but unfortunately the procedure i purchased was not actually provided by the clinic/specialist. it took me weeks to get an initial appointment confirmed at the clinic and after i got seen by the doctor i purchased the procedure with, they let me know that they do not offer that type of service and could recommend me to a different specialist (not covered by MDsave). i drove an hour and a half out of town to visit this specialist just to be told they couldn't offer the services i purchased. i ended up requesting a refund.

I paid on the website and used the coupon. Everything seemed fine but a week later I got a bill for $800 and another for $1,400. So I feel like I paid for nothing. Where did my payment go? I didn’t get any receipt from the hospital saying’”paid”. I got a voucher and they accepted it but for what?

I walked into an Urgent Care facility that uses MDsave as their payment processor, expecting to swipe a credit card and be seen immediately for a health issue that was causing me to miss work Instead, I was directed to use my own device to navigate to the MDsave website and fill out several pages of information, manually enter credit card payment method, then get a .pdf document so the front desk attendant could find some code on it so she could process me. To complicate matters, there was no cell reception in the building, and they were aware of the issue and advised I connect to an unsecured WiFi network instead. I should not have to tell you how big of a security issue that is, transmitting PII and PHI over an unsecured network. Instead, I ended up walking outside to get service, process the payment, then get the document they needed, while having to deal with an urgent health issue I had come for, before getting back in line again. Completely insane! Please consider setting up a merchant services kiosk or take a credit card payment normally like everyone else out there instead of whatever that was! People are coming in with health issues expecting to be helped, not spend 20 minutes messing with their phones or finding themselves victims of identity fraud transmitting a bunch of PII and PHI over unsecured WiFi! While the staff were kind and helpful and I was helped immediately afterwards, I will not be returning to that facility should I need Urgent Care again in the future due to these issues with MDsave. Please find a reasonable payment processor alternative to how this works currently.

The price ended up being higher by about $150 more than what we were originally told on the CT scan without contrast.

Don’t think it saved me much money. The quote I got was $560 and I paid $530 through mdsave. Not much saving ha if you ask me.
