What a mess. Packers were friendly but not good at their jobs. Missed entire cabinets full of stuff. I still can't find several items and all boxes are unpacked. The lead asked me repeatedly if she could have some of my belongings! Loaders and drivers much better. Final delivery days after requested and now we are charged for storage on those days. Broken glass on art prints, broken lamp. Threatened with collections by person who won't answer phone or email. Look elsewhere. This was a mistake.

Highly Recommend Sam & Team and
Sam & Team moved us from SC to NC. They took great care to wrap & protect our furniture & they were extremely hard-working and thorough. They moved all our furniture in and placed it and reassembled it. We could not have been more pleased. Breez, the young man explaining the paperwork, was such a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them & would hire them again without a second thought.

First I would give Mayflower 0 if I…
First I would give Mayflower 0 if I could. Moved from Pennsylvania to Indiana. Nothing special 10 hour distance. The pickup went fine, and then my stuff went missing. Every day during the drop off window, I contacted them to find out a date so I can prepare. And every day I got the same run around it's on its way. It's now a week after the window. My stuff is still missing. My family has to sit outside in the car. In the air conditioning when they're too uncomfortable from sitting in an empty house. The company says they reimburse a $100 a day that they're late. That doesn't cover all the meals that we have to eat out. All the gas from running the car and hotel rooms that we have to get every day. They subcontract another company for driving, and they refer to it as a co-op they don't tell you anything about this and they lie about it if you ask. One side keeps blaming the other side and back and forth nobody's taking a responsibility for this. I keep calling multiple times every day to try to track down all of our belongings and they couldn't care less if my fiancé, my daughter and myself are out on the street with nothing. Steer, clear, do not use whatever you do. My name is chris and using Mayflower movers was one of the biggest regrets in my entire life. If anybody has any ideas on what I can do, please let me know.

Mayflower review
Mayflower review
I moved in April 2026 from Chicago to Southern California and chose Mayflower as my moving company. Having read a lot of reviews and comments, Mayflower seemed like a good choice. I had somehow gotten the impression that there were actual employees of Mayflower that would service the move but learned along the way that Mayflower doesn’t really have employees and is essentially just a brand name used by contracted agents such as Corrigan/Premier which was the agent in my area. The only time I saw the Mayflower name on anything was on some paperwork and constant banner ads in my inbox. The trucks were either United van lines or had no name at all.
I generally like to say positive things in reviews so let’s start there. The price you are quoted after your initial assessment is the price you end up paying if you don’t add things after the inventory is set. So, there is no hostage taking of your stuff demanding more payment prior to delivery and that is reassuring. Timelines were set and met so no problem with reliability. Corrigan did communicate pretty well despite the fact that my initial contact left the company shortly after my quote and I got handed off to a senior manager in a corporate office somewhere in New York.
One concerning thing was that much of what I was told about the logistics of the move was incorrect, so I advise getting virtually everything important or not in writing. I was told we had an assigned driver who would arrive with a crew to my home in Chicago in a 53ft moving van, load and drive to California. So, we arranged and secured parking on our street for that but what actually happened was 2 smaller straight trucks arrived which meant that everything was loaded into these 2 trucks then transported to a warehouse somewhere, unloaded and then reloaded onto the moving van that eventually went to California. As you can probably imagine, all of this loading and unloading can lead to problems.
Each Item was numbered and documented, and we were told that upon arrival we would check off these items with the crew. That did not happen, the delivery happened much too quickly to look for the tags and check off things on the inventory sheets. Most things seemed to be in order and only a few items were damaged or broken but we soon realized that several larger items were just missing and later smaller items like shelves from furniture cabinets that had been disassembled for some reason. Included in the missing category were folding tables, office chairs, the shelves and 2 large red Christmas tree storage bags filled with decorations. We contacted Corrigan about the missing items as we assumed they must have been lost in the warehouse load unload process or left on the truck that had another delivery packed in. Nothing was ever found and we were just advised to file a claim which for the chair and tables is easy but not so easy for the many boxes of vintage keepsake ornaments that were in the storage bags or for the furniture that is now unusable without the shelves. I had expected and could deal with some damage and breakage, but it is harder to understand how large things could just vanish into thin air. I suspected that either way they were misplaced, if they were discovered they would need to be redelivered which could be an issue for the company. I now wish I had insisted on checking off each item individually which would have kept the crew there much longer or air-tagged these things and would advise others to do that for keepsake items. In closing, as this was my first and last cross-country move, I can’t rate Mayflower/Corrigan/Premier versus any other brand but would say that the move did go fairly well overall despite the mysterious disappearance of some irreplaceable items. You just have to accept what you get and move on.

A big disappointment
First, let me say that the gentleman that loaded and unloaded our truck were fabulous. Everyone else not so much. Carl did a walk-through of our house with us and he marked every little item on his iPad. Amazing the day of the move a bunch of stuff was forgotten and a $500 up charge was added then we were waiting for the grandfather clock service people to come and found out it was never scheduled even though I talked to Desiree earlier in the week about it. So you guessed it,another $490 up charge? We were also told that we will fill the whole truck so we would not have to wait for another shipment to be added to the truck and dropped off. Day of move we find out Tim has another load to pick up after ours and drop off before ours. So now we have to wait five days for our possessions, when they do finally arrive we find a large scratch in one of our dressers. Tim proceeds to tell us that it was there before the move. Funny it is my dresser and I never saw that deep gouge before. We have also since found a badly damaged TV stand, but aren’t not even going to claim it because I’m sure we are going to be told that it was damaged before the move started. On another note, it was not even a Mayflower truck. It was an Allied/Browning moving truck.
