Okay so not gonna lie sparx doesn't do SHI Right so imagine this: I finish my mocks and it's near the summer holidays, so I'm already pissed I have to do sparx, and I see a new section called 'flashcards'. Wtf. What The Actual Freak. I do NOT need to know the equation for pressure mate. Genuinly sparx is just getting worse (I didn't even know that was possible). Worst part is can't even say it fell off- it's BEEN off. And ykw I could acc write PARAGRAPHS on why ts is the worst maths hw platform (dr frost on top) but honestly? Its not worth my time and frankly I wish we got proper maths homework like you know one that DOESN'T test me on my timestables in the big yr10. Thanks a lot mr sparx!

The person who made Sparx has committed international crimes! I used to like maths but after I have to do Sparx, I HATE IT! How did you make a website that ragebaits people so badly that people made a petition to ban it and made a whole subreddit called r/f**ksparx?

The Pros (Before the update): It used to be a decent AI-driven platform for generating tailored homework. The Cons (Why it's 1-star now): Redundant Work: The new flashcard features are tedious. Instead of helping students learn, they feel like an unhelpful, forced repetition exercise that just pads out homework times. The "Let's Learn It" Loop: If you get a flashcard wrong, the explanation provided is often unhelpful or confusing, which means students get stuck in endless looping attempts without actually understanding the concept. No Progression Insights: The system forces you to do them blindly without showing you your overall progress or levels on the flashcards .Forced Usage: Coupled with the strict, existing 100% completion requirement, these mandatory flashcards make homework overly stressful and time-consuming. Verdict: Adding flashcards hasn't improved my learning. It has only made homework much more tedious and annoying. Please give us the option to focus on actual practice questions instead!

I don't even try on Sparx Maths anymore. It is a torturous homework site that's set as my homework as I am a student and it is incredible hard to complete. Even if you complete it, which takes usually 2 hours, you don't learn anything. It's not like it's a good revision site because the videos are useless as well.

I have been suffering with this Satan-spawned abomination for months, I am tortured by this consistently. You cannot fail a question, which I think we can all agree is a normal part of maths, and if you do, you cannot proceed to completing your homework until you have figured out how to solve it. Throughout this, mind you, there are book work checks. What's that, you ask? Oh, nothing really, just the process of writing down your answer physically, then confirming it digitally. And once you've completed this torture, you must complete the 100 club. This is where you're force-fed fast-paced multiplication which ALSO can't be completed without correcting your mistakes. Then you must play these mind numbing mini games, which also counts towards your completion and, obviously, can't be finished without giving correct answers. Whilst this is being done, you collect XP, which is put into a leaderboard, visible to all, showing your amount of XP. So God forbid you struggle with solving questions unless you want your whole class to see. Abysmal website, wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I haven't touched this site i weeks out of fear of the agony given by using it.

Not even my mother can do my homework. SPARX MATHS WHAT IS THIS? HOMEWORK FOR KIDS WHEN NOT EVEN GROWN ADULTS WHO GOT 7'S IN THIER GSCES CAN DO IT. SPAMS ME FOR BOOK WORK CHECKS. GOOFY AHH LAGGY SITE TOO.

LESSON IF TWO ONES MAKE TWO AND TWO TWOS MAKE FOUR WHAT'S TO DO WHEN TWO TWOS WON'T MAKE FOUR ANYMORE WHEN VALUES IN BASE TEN RETURN SUMS IN BASE EIGHT THAT TWO FOURS MAKE TEN IS THE SUM OF ONE'S HATE IF A EQUALS B AND C IS NOT A TO HEAR THAT B'S C LEAVES ONE WROUGHT WITH DISMAY WHEN THE ENEMY OF AN ENEMY IS THE ENEMY OF ONE'S FRIEND AND HOPE OF ANY CLARITY YIELDS CHAOS IN THE END SUCH IS A PUNISHMENT FOR THOSE WHO WANDER TOO FAR FROM THE PATH OF THE FOREST WITHOUT NAME AND SEEK KNOWLEDGE THAT IS BEST LEFT UNKNOWN FOR THE CRIME OF NAMING THAT WHICH OUGHT NOT BE NAMED YOU MUST ACCEPT THAT REALITY DOESN'T ALWAYS MAKE SENSE

Sparx Maths is a deeply flawed platform that prioritises rigid metrics over actual learning. The "100% completion trap" forces students into endless loops of repetitive questions just for making a minor typo, offering absolutely zero credit for their written working out. To make matters worse, the system frequently assigns age-inappropriate work (like Year 10 topics to Year 9 students) that has nothing to do with current school lessons. When students get stuck, they are left with unhelpful video tutorials and overly lengthy questions that feel like a punishment for getting answers right. It causes immense, unnecessary anxiety and makes children genuinely hate mathematics. Avoid it if you can.
