I rate the company 4 stars but my matchmaker, Lisa Gunnett, 5 stars. She has been exceptionally kind and helpful throughout this long journey, Lisa suggested that I go on two breaks from the program due to some very difficult health issues. One involved ligaments wrapped around my S1 nerve affecting my ability to walk, the second was losing about 80% of my voice due to intubation during that surgery. I had one man agree to meet me, then cancel within 15 minutes because he told Lisa that he couldn’t understand a word I said. I was very disheartened because it counted as one of my matches. Lisa explained things carefully along the way in a way that was easy to understand. She tried very hard to follow my preferences. I enjoyed her sense of humor. Lisa showed great empathy when a match didn’t go well, and tried to give me some pointers to increase my chances of success. I felt like she really cared about me and my feelings. One time I told her that I felt like things didn’t go well, and she offered to call the man I met to ask him his perspective about the date. Sure enough he told her that he wished me well but that I wasn’t a good match for him. Another man decided that it was way too far for him to drive to date me. None of these situations were under my sweet matchmaker’s control. Lisa listened each time and gave me a lot of encouragement to keep trying. She almost felt at times like a big sister coaching me along, rooting for me from the sidelines. These are just a few of the reasons why I have appreciated my matchmaker’s (Lisa Gunnett) efforts! What a journey full of ups and downs. I'm not going to lie, this started VERY rough for me. I had been single for a long time, and the dating apps were laughing in my face. My friend signed me up, saying, "What can it hurt?" I received the phone call and tried to ask about pricing, but they wouldn't talk about it; they wanted to meet in person. I said I didn't want to waste anyone's time if it was not feasible, but they still wouldn't tell me anything. So, I went to the local office (the worst part of the whole process). The conversation started well; she got me to open up and said all the right things. Then we get to the money, and whoa! I was shocked. I didn't expect it to be cheap, but still! This is where our 2-3 hour appointment took a turn. I was unsure about the money, and she started giving me "deals", "deals she doesn't make with anyone", "the best possible deal she can give me because she wants this for me". I told her I needed some time to think things over. She told me that if I left, the deals were off the table, and I had to sign right then. She started throwing personal things I mentioned back in my face about why I was single and would always be single if I didn't make this investment in myself. After feeling like this was my only option to ever find my "happily ever after", I signed, paid, and left in tears. (Suggestion for the company: don't have us fill out a survey or feedback form for this process in the office. I couldn't give my honest feedback because I was literally handing it back to the person who made me miserable.) With that said, the best thing she did for me and the best part of the experience was my coaching with Shallyce. I honestly don't think I would have made it through this process without her. As a person, I have come a LONG way since my first conversation with Shallyce. I may have done the work, but dang it, she pushed me and stuck by me when I had doubts. She was definitely the bright spot in what was sometimes a dark process. The matchmaker process itself, I had a love/hate relationship with. My first match was very quick, and after meeting, I felt they matched me with someone just to get the first one done. I don't think we had one thing in common. I had another match where my date said to me, "I don't know why they matched us". Which was true; he was a real piece of work. As I was coming down to my last couple of matches, I felt very defeated by the process. I had asked for a break from matches as I needed time to get excited about the process again. Then I received the phone call. There was a match that both my matchmaker, Amy, and my coach, Shallyce, thought would be a great match for me. I agreed, and I am so glad I did. I believe that I finally found my person. I am currently in a happy hold and am very happy! While I wish the beginning of the process had been different, I am so glad I stuck with it because it led me to my person. I truly believe this is my happily ever after.

What makes my experience great is that it is fun and a happy meetup is next to certain since my matchmaking team does the preliminary work. From background check to financial status to actual 1st date advice my dating team has been accurate and helpful. I look forward to my next match
