To stand at the crossroads of career change is a daunting and overwhelming experience. I am grateful and fortunate that Mallory was my coach during that time of change. While coaches often demonstrate compassion and empathy in a general sense, Mallory possesses a genuine ability to see, hear, and understand the individual in front of her. Her authenticity and humanity fosters connection that leads to real change. As a therapist, I often strive to create awareness and understanding for others. I appreciate that Mallory afforded this to me and thus, in turn, I was able to grow into a role that honored me both personally and professionally. I was initially uncertain about how MatchDay would benefit me in pivoting to a non-clinical role. After speaking with Essi and Chanel, who helped clarify how the process works, and what it entails from start to finish, I felt more certain. When I was matched with my coach, LeeAnn, I knew immediately that I was on the right path. LeeAnn helped me see value in my skillset, not only as a therapist, but as a person. She helped me re-think the way I see myself, helped me navigate which roles would truly be a good fit for me, and how to properly apply for each role. She provided invaluable feedback from day one. Within the first month, I was starting to see things in myself that I never would have before MatchDay. For so long (more than 30 years), I identified solely as a therapist. I never truly saw the worth in all the skills I had and how they could lead me to a career that would once again make me feel valued and give me the work-life balance that had been missing for so long. From helping me to re-tool my resume and my LinkedIn profile to prepping me for my first interview (which happened within 8 weeks of me starting the program), to how to network and reach out to people within organizations I would love to work with. I have never felt more confident in who I am and the direction my career trajectory is taking me. Very hands on approach with resume, linked in and networking strategies. Really brought me out of my comfort zone in a good way. Flexibility when I had family challenges and needed to pause program.

My coach Lindsey was really good at helping me choose a pivot position, working with me through building the resume, setting up job searches, and the interview process. I learned a lot about the non-clinical job acquisition process. It was very helpful to learn how to structure my resume and search to get an interview and the position.

I came to Lindsey mid-career pivot — moving from clinical work into health tech product and client implementation roles — and interviewing in a totally different industry felt daunting. She helped me translate my experience into language that actually landed with hiring managers, and got me genuinely ready for the tough questions instead of just the easy ones. By the time I sat down for final rounds, I felt calm and prepared instead of scrambling. I walked away with an offer I was excited about, and I credit a lot of that to how sharp her prep was. I personally met with Rami before enrolling in Match Day. It was evident he absolutely cares for the mission (assisting clinicians in transitions to non-clinical roles) and endeavoring to support favorable sustainable outcomes for the Fellows. While I have not completed my Fellowship, I feel it helpful and necessary to share my positive experience thus far. My coach, Lindsey, has demonstrated patience, kindness and compassion in assisting with major (and much needed!) over haul of my CV and LinkedIn page. Prior to her help, I had applied to scores of positions with ZERO replies. Since her critical help with my CV and LinkedIn, I have had several interviews and one job offer so far. Navigating the new frontier of AI resume readers is one that requires skill and expertise. I am incredibly appreciative for the guidance and support I am receiving through Match Day and am already realizing real results. Additionally, my most recent clinical role was so unsustainable, I had to remove myself without a new job in place. You might imagine how anxiety provoking that may feel, I now am confident that there is no question I made the right choice in removing myself from the insanity of clinical roles that do not value my years of capable performance. I am appreciating light at the end of the tunnel and see hope that there is another rewarding path unfolding. This is hard, I am not a trust the process type person, but am thankful for the results I am seeing already and highly recommend Match Day to other clinicians looking to make a meaningful and intentional career pivot. Mallory was amazing. We're coaching style was direct, but thoughtful. I felt that she was holistic and taking to account my availability and life events well also pushing me to participate in meaningful ways and make the most of my time there. Her understanding of local geography in terms of new opportunities to begin building relationships with individuals and organizations to develop possible career pathways and cultivate professional mentors was indispensable. She is an excellent coach for anyone, but specially for those who are looking for support in the Greater Pittsburgh area.

My experience was great! From the moment I was even curious about making a change and reaching out to MatchDay they were there to meet me with answers and a well organized process the let me know they had a plan even when I had not formed on yet.
