I've been a video producer for over 14 years and this program is what I've always been looking for. My biggest challenge is generating new leads and this method works. The coaches are very accessible and go above and beyond to help with anything. Highly recommend!

Do the work, reap the rewards
Started with their academy program because I was skeptical. Made $40k off their tactics and am now paying for coaching.
If you’re ready to do the work, the results will follow.

Moving Forward To Change My Future
MF has been coaching and working with me to help scale my business I’ve been in the program for about 9 months and have yet to close on the big deals that I was assured that I would have. That’s of no fault of MF. I’m still putting in the work and understand that my process is my process. I may close deals faster than some or it may take me longer than some. I still work a full-time job and have aging parents that I help out along with being head of my own immediate family. That’s not an excuse it’s motivation to show others that regardless of what you having going on if you stick with the program and continue to grow and work at it your time will come. I have faith that I will close a deal soon and that it will be the beginning of a life changing experience for me and my family. Eric, Ethan, Evan, and Dan have been helping me and working with me as best they can. They have a lot going on themselves, yet have been very helpful to me on this journey. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to update this review, but should something change maybe I will be able to update it. For now thank you MF team for what you’re teaching me and all the help with working to grow my business.

Save your hard earned money
You’re optimistic, a hard worker and just need a little help to really take your video business to the next level, right? You see the programs (empty) promises of “close 5-6 figure video deals or you don’t pay” and think you’ve found it. The thing to help you take things to the next level. That’s what I was ready for. I wasn’t ready for the price tag attached to it. $9,000 for 3 months is outrageous but somehow I let them talk me into it. Only issue is I got a job offer the next day. Well, good thing I only made the initial portion of the payment. Surely they’ll refund the rest or just cancel the contract since I told them I’m not able to dedicate the time necessary. NOPE. I even tried to reach out to Eric directly and like any shady business they make that nearly impossible. They know once you’ve signed the contract you’re on the hook and the money is theirs. They don’t care about ethics or morals. This isn’t a bitter client who wouldn’t “put it the work” like I’m sure they’ll say. Severely let down and now receiving calls daily about a $9,000 loan in default because they simply won’t cancel it on their end. This is purely a matter of being a good company and a decent human. Both of which they are not.

Justin Morris joined our program last year and was ecstatic about scaling his video business. Here's the full story for anyone reading:
1. Justin joined our program and attended a total of 2 coaching calls. He put little to no effort into the coaching.
2. We use a Monday.com board to track every single thing our clients do and Justin never even completed the first week of it.
3. Justin reached out to us months after he joined the program and said that he "just didn't feel like growing his business any longer" and decided to not pursue his business. He did NOT reach out to us days later.
Because he had already consumed the information in the program and committed to doing the program we tried to work with him to continue helping him grow his video business. We reached out a total of 25 times to Justin to try to get him back on track.
4. Justin then ghosted us for months, going on long vacations and ignoring our messages in Slack.
Overall this is a case of not putting in any effort and not following through on your commitments. We can only help those who put in the effort and show up to our calls.
If you'd like to see all the evidence of Justin not completing his Monday.com board or tasks, coaching call attendance, and constant messages for months trying to contact him to get him back on board, please feel free to reach out to our team and we'd be happy to share that with you as we cannot post links here.

MF is great
MF is great. It is much more than just a course, it's an entire coaching system with constant acsess to high quality couches to go over every detail of the system they teach you in person if needed. The system they give you is very comprehensive and gives you all the tools you need to make sales. My experience has been great so far and I am excited to continue on with the program.

SCAM ALERT!
As a videographer and small business owner who was looking to expand my clientele, I looked to Master Filmmaker to partner up with in hopes of bolstering my sales strategy—which proved to be a 6 month sunk cost and was the biggest scam.
On the sales call with Master Filmmaker's rep, Zhin Goran, I shared that my target clientele was mid-sized to enterprise accounts, as opposed to “mom-and-pop” shops. I was apprehensive at the thought that they’d be able to cater to my needs, but Zhin Goran kept reiterating that they would have a customizable business plan in place that would be successful with my target clientele, in addition to reassuring me that they have a “money back guarantee” with their program.
Their “guarantee” is that if you don’t make your money back by the time of your contract then they will work with you for free until you get your money. Based on that promise, I decided to fork over $10K against my better judgment because I trusted that if I was paying for a premium service with the promise of a return on investment, it seemed like a low-risk, high-reward scenario. I attended weekly sync-up calls and applied all of their aggressive sales tactics, resulting in hundreds of hours of labor, only to lose some of my current clients by seeming too pushy with the techniques Eric Deeran (owner of Master Filmmaker) and Ethan Sebok (Sales Coach) encouraged me to apply to my outreach.
After about 3-4 months, I started to grow impatient and resentful and voiced my frustrations with the program, only to have my grievances fall upon deaf ears. I did some outreach to fellow peers in the program and I discovered that an astonishing amount of people (around 85%) also had no returns after committing to the program and had a mutual feeling of regret in paying for this program. After I learned of this shared experience with other people in the program, I decided to confront Eric Deeran and ask him for an explanation. He agreed that the program was not producing results and said he would get me a contract worth the $10k that I invested into the program. Lo and behold, this was another broken promise and blatant lie.
After my 6 months was up, I was removed from the group without notice or explanation. They legitimately took my money and ran.
This huge mistake cost me $10k, and I hope those who read this learn from my lapse in judgment. Eric Deeran and his team are not genuine people and do not have your best interest. Once Eric realized he could capitalize on videographers’ main pain point (sales) he ditched his very own production company to solely focus on taking advantage of videographers wanting to scale their business.
If you look closely at Eric’s ads, he uses the same successful student case studies (about 10 of them) and flashes them quickly over and over again in hopes of the viewer not noticing the repeating names. You cannot trust any of their ads/pitches considering the delusional act of showcasing my own company website as a “successful student case study” to lure other videographers who also had corporate clientele to join even though I had already voiced my extreme disappointment with the program.
Overall, this program is very concerning as they do not tailor the program to each individual, the sales coach has a low IQ, and Eric Deeran is just a greedy dude preying on creatives.
Edit/Response to Masterfilmmaker:
Ah, the typical yet expected gaslight response. If I wasn’t already running a “successful” business or putting in the time, you wouldn’t be using my work as an example to close more deals.
I am not the only person who has had this experience, I am just the first person to speak up and say something. This entire program is immoral and unethical and I have over 50 negative testimonials from my peers that were in the program.
Trust Pilot does not allow me to insert a Google Drive link but if anyone would like to see these testimonials directly, feel free to find me on LinkedIn or contact me on my company website via email. I would hate for others to get scammed as we all did.

As a client of our program, Maritza continued to fail to listen to the advice of our coaches after we repeatedly gave her step-by-step instructions to complete on a weekly basis.
She was incredibly difficult to work with, was rude and belittling to our coaches, and continued to not listen to the advice that was given to her.
After she continued to NOT listen to the advice that our coaches gave her, she turned to blame us for her lack of effort and implementation of the program.
Our guarantee would have been applicable if Maritza had followed the advice of our coaches.
Because she could not take ownership and responsibility for her own actions, she continued to blame us and call us a scam. We continued to try to support her throughout this entire process.
Business is hard, and we are very clear that this is not a magic pill and takes consistent determined work (feel free to look at any of our case studies on Trustpilot, or on our homepage) - our successful students have realized, and taken ownership for their own actions and has come with the mindset of “ I’m going to make this work” rather than “Will this work”
Maritza prefers to blame everyone else for her lack of success, and continues to prefer to be a victim of her own circumstances rather than taking ownership and doing the work required to grow her business.
She even went as far as threatening us and our coaches personally, and she has now resorted to defaming us online.
As far as removal from the program, we received dozens of messages from concerned clients, learning in the program, that Maritza was harassing them to the point of sending them messages every day when they refused to respond. She would message them at late hours of the night even after they refused to respond. Because of Maritza’s learning agreement, she was removed from the program because she was affecting other client's experiences.
If you’re someone who’s looking for a magic pill that doesn’t require any work, look elsewhere. We help our clients generate more conversations and help them convert those conversations into paying clients.
It’s truly sad to see that Maritza would rather blame someone else, than take action and ownership of her own business.
Our team is dedicated to our clients success and takes our work very seriously. We do not take on clients to simply “make money” - we want to work with those who want to put in the work required to succeed.
Edit/response:
We’re sorry you didn’t have a positive experience and we’ve had multiple hundreds of clients in our program over the past years. All we can do is provide our clients with the same exact systems ourself and our clients have used to close high ticket deals.
We can not control whether or not you or other clients implement or follow the advice given. Again, we’ve said (and all of our successful clients have said - this requires work and is NOT a magic pill)
Business requires work, determination and consistency. It’s up the individual to use the tools, resources, and coaching we’ve provided to leverage that like our other clients. It’s exactly the same as buying a gym membership and not using it.

DON'T SIGN UP FOR MF UNLESS
-You want to scale up your video production company in a meaningful way.
-You're not afraid of pushing out your comfort zone.
-You're excited about working ON your business, not just IN your business.
Everyone knows there's no magic bullet to growing your video business. That's why the team at MF doesn't build the house for you. Rather, they provide you with and teach you how to use the tools that are required to do so.
My company, JLS Video was a burgeoning Health and Wellness video prod. company in Feb 2023. We had dozens of word of mouth clients built over a decade of hard work. It was successful but stagnant. In 6 months I learnt to productize my services, engage in sales and develop an automated pipeline to funnel incoming leads.
Since then I've 10X'd the investment i put into developing the leads, created content with some of the most exciting and ideal clients in my niche, and booked several video projects for next year.
The team at MF have developed a fantastic internal culture. When you join them it feels like you're brought into a big family. They actually grind as hard to help our companies grow, as we do. And that inspires me to push harder every day.

Questions were answered!
Yo!
I’m the owner of a Video agency and needed a specific question answered regarding our pricing. I reached out to Eric over Instagram and he got back with me within an hour. Haha
We hopped on a 30 min call and I got not only the answers I needed, but the confidence to make some changes and break through some limiting beliefs that were holding me back.
I ended up sending my largest invoice EVER after this phone call…eric told me to tell him when the client paid, and sure enough, it was paid within a couple days.
I would 10/10 recommended Masterfilmmaker for any questions you might have in the creative industry. You need someone in your corner who has been there and done that.
Most of this business game is all in your head!
