I am a Local Guide Level 6 with Google Maps, but recently I have been disappointed with their unfair practice of taking down negative reviews without warning or any kind of explanation, I spend a certain amount of time writing honest reviews and for Google Maps to suddenly withdraw them from public viewing is frustrating to say the least. Then to add insult to injury Google Maps make it so difficult to contact anyone to discuss the matter, I must have spent around three hours going around in circles on their website trying to find a human being to talk with, I would have been happy with a Live Chat but even that was not available, this seems to be a deliberate action on their part, if Google Maps can't handle honest negative reviews because they don't want any hassles they should say so, but I don't see the point of submitting honest reviews if they are at some point dismissed in a sneaky way without any warning. I am seriously considering giving up on Google Maps reviews and just continuing with Trustpilot and Product Review, at least they appreciate honest reviews and they make it easy to communicate with them, and they also let you know if there is a problem with a review and give you an opportunity to amend it. Update, through Trustpilot reviews there is an option, a box that you can tick for your review link to be sent to the company that you have reviewed, and since doing that Google Maps have completely deleted my review, again no attempt to contact me to discuss their actions, it would seem that whoever is in control of auditing reviews has finally read my review carefully and realised that as per all my reviews it was honest and thoughtfully written, but not wanting to admit an error on their part thought it prudent to get rid of the evidence by deleting my review completely, and again no attempt was made to contact me to discuss the situation, it’s a shame that my loyalty and trust with Google Maps was not reciprocated, seemingly quite content to disrespect and ignore a Local Guide Level 6 Google Maps supporter of many years, and give their trust and preference to a dishonest person who is at best a low level supporter. After I wrote my negative review this person suddenly got five very positive reviews, so why not leave my honest negative review public, isn’t that the whole point of a review to have your say about your personal experience. Other Google Maps reviewers have complained about this same action, so my case is not an isolated incident, and because of the deceitful way Google Maps does this many other reviewers would not even be aware that some of their negative reviews are no longer public, I would suggest other reviewers check their Google Maps account to make sure all their negative reviews are still public, as they will not inform you of this if they delete them from public viewing.

Servizio clienti e risoluzione dei problemi pari a zero. Ho contattato Google innumerevoli volte per correggere l'errore causato da Google Maps, ovvero la sfocatura delle immagini sbagliate su Google Maps. Risposta di Google "una volta sfocate, le immagini non possono essere rese nuovamente visibili" 🤔😂 Inoltre non si sa se e quando le foto saranno mai più visibili (tanto se Google aggiorna gli scatti nel 2023, visto che quelli attuali sono del 2022, non si sa). Sicuramente non contatterò mai più Google, fatica e tempo sprecati, come tante altre "linee dirette del servizio clienti". Se nessuno ti aiuta, aiutati da solo, ma purtroppo in questo caso non è possibile.

From one day to the other, they have removed a large number of my reviews what were approved and displayed a long time ago. This is inacceptable. The overall service is getting worse too with random unexpected upload errors, etc. Not to mention that there is not a single contact for customer support or anything other than the pre-digested questions. Shame. Time to change people.

Google Maps have repeatedly, and with no visible pattern decided to block many of my reviews. This usually happens within a few seconds of my posting them and gives me the impression this is an AI-driven rather than human-based. It doesn't seem to matter whether the review is negative or positive, a detailed, lengthy one or just a few words, with photos or without. What's more it says I have the ability to appeal the decisions, they tell me "A moderator will check your review to determine whether it follows our policies. You'll be informed of the decision. Thank you for your patience". However this is also rejected within a matter of seconds, giving me the feeling this is also done by AI. Which all makes me wonder why Google Maps asks me to review places I've been to AT ALL. Everywhere review I've written has been based on a genuine experience, and Google themselves can see that I've visited these places. I tried to leave feedback for Google Maps but I just get a reply from a robot saying my reviews "violate[s] user-generated content policy" without outlining which specific point it is in contravention of, to give you the ability to rewrite. It's all really frustrating for me when I see so many useless and unhelpful, possibly even fake reviews from other users which are still on the site/app. Especially as I was given the title of "local guide", only to have that stripped away from me last year despite the fact that many so-called "local guides" have only published a few reviews and I have posted many genuine reviews, not to mention adding photos to places of interest, checking facts etc.

I am leaving this negative review and feedback, to express my deep disappointment regarding the recent removal of our business from Google Maps. We were shocked to discover that our listing was taken down without any valid reason provided. This action has had a significant negative impact on our business, and we feel utterly let down by the service we have received from Google. Over the years, we have invested tremendous effort in building our reputation and encouraging our valued guests to share their genuine experiences with our team. We took pride in the reviews and ratings we received on Google Maps, as they served as a reflection of our commitment to providing excellent service. It is disheartening to see all our hard work undone in an instant without any justification. If this kind of unjust removal is happening to other companies as well, it raises serious concerns about the reliability and trustworthiness of Google Maps as a platform for reading and posting reviews. Businesses like ours rely on the integrity of such platforms to showcase their services and engage with potential customers. By abruptly removing our listing, Google has not only undermined our credibility but has also damaged the trust we had in their platform. We kindly request that you reconsider your decision and reinstate our business on Google Maps. We are open to providing any necessary information or clarification to resolve this matter promptly. Additionally, we hope that you will take steps to improve the transparency and communication surrounding such decisions, ensuring that businesses are given proper explanations and opportunities to address any concerns before their listings are taken down. We sincerely hope that this issue will be rectified, and we can continue to rely on Google Maps as a reliable and trusted platform for our business and our customers. Llevo años colaborando con Google a través de reseñas sobre productos o servicios, con el fin de ayudar a otros usuarios en la toma de decisiones , evitando que caigan en manos de personal poco profesional o simplemente que pierdan su dinero en artículos, productos o restaurantes que son un bluff. Tengo más de 100 reseñas y cerca de 360 fotografías. Bien, pues desde esta semana, compruebo que se me han bloqueado numerosas de ellas, como he dicho al principio, publicadas hace años , por no cumplir la política de Google. En una de ellas, publique fotografías del Parador de la Granja de San Ildefonso , en Segovia y porque me han bloqueado la reseña? Por incluir material digamos , “ poco decoroso”, entro a ver que ha pasado y resulta que en las fotos de la recepción, constan una serie de figuras humanas desnudas, colocadas por todo el hall del hotel. Rayando en lo ridículo, Google confunde arte con otras cuestiones y basándose en esa premisa , me bloquea la reseña. Sigamos, tengo alrededor de 15 reseñas bloqueadas , en las que me limito a detallar que varios servicios han sido buenos, con cuatro o cinco estrellas. Reviso nuevamente su contenido y verifico que tanto el lenguaje como el tono son positivos y en los casos en los que se trata de malas valoraciones, lo mismo,O es que ya ni siquiera podemos decir que algo es malo o no cumple los estándares mínimos de calidad? Para que sirven entonces las reseñas? He “ apelado “ los casos que me ha permitido, pero la mayoría de ellas no da esa opción, así que probablemente continuarán bloqueadas sine die , ya que me niego a modificar ninguna al no haber nada que rectificar. Así están las cosas en Google, Torquemada se ha quedado muy pequeñito, no sé si está locura obedece a la intervención de la IA , que en base a no se que parámetros ha calificado de inapropiadas mis opiniones o si se trata de un censor de los de la nueva era, que sin duda, esta muy mal ubicado dentro de la empresa, al ser incapaz de discernir entre una experiencia de compra de producto o servicio , de un insulto o ultraje. Señores de Google, revisen su política ya que están invitando a que nadie más quiera seguir colaborando con ustedes.

They need to factor in buses that don't run on bank holidays - I wanted to go out today , but there were no buses to where I wanted to go ,despite what Google Maps told me .
