I actually really liked using Google Maps until I fell victim to its dubious content policy on reviews. Because of bad experiences with UPS, I recently left 2 detailed reviews for UPS on Trustpilot. I now tried to leave a much shorter review for UPS on Google Maps, but the site makes it almost impossible to leave negative reviews for UPS by barring them via its “automated moderation system”. I tried it 4 times, dumbing the content down further each time, but Google Maps does not accept my negative review for UPS and turned down all related appeals so far too. I took screenshots of the entire process. These pictures are proof of Google Maps’ phoney moderation of negative reviews for UPS as the reasons given for barring the reviews do not match the reviews’ content on each occasion. It is a pity that I cannot attach these pictures here, but I do offer them to Google Maps as proof. I wonder how many other companies receive the same favour as UPS and why Google Maps unfairly censures genuine reviews. Maybe Google Maps will provide an honest answer here … but I am not holding my breath! Update: I thought I finally managed to leave a review for UPS on Google Maps. It is showing on my mobile’s Google Maps App, but it is not showing online on my laptop! That is really spooky! Why is Google Maps pretending to me that I left a review successfully when they removed it? Do you doubt my words? No offense taken, because I would too … but why not see for yourself? Big Brother is not just watching us, he is also trying to pull the wool over our eyes!

Google Maps rimuove le recensioni fatte correttamente e senza violazioni delle norme e lascia le fasulle postate dai titolari delle aziende. Tutto a discapito dei consumatori a cui mettono il bavaglio e vietano loro ad esercitare qualsiasi diritto ad esprimere delle opinioni sulle attività commerciali poco serie. Non perdete tempo ad usare google mappe per scrivere una recensione o opinione inerenti ad attivita' commerciali poco serie, che gia' hanno avuto altre opinioni negative, da parte di molti altri clienti, tanto non vengono pubblicate. Google mappe sicuramente e' gestita da un gruppo di incompetenti e nullafacenti buoni a nulla perché strade urbane e indirizzi esistenti da tempo non vengono mai aggiornate. Di frequente accade che per strade urbane suggeriscono percorsi piú lunghi e complicati e più delle volte l’utente finisce per cavarsela meglio da solo.

Google maps "Beitragen" ist im eigentlichen Sinne eine gute Sache - wenn, ja wenn von mir selbst erlebte und detailliert geschilderte Erfahrungen nicht von Administratoren oder Algorithmen durch Deaktivierung zensiert werden würden, sondern zuerst den Autor kontaktieren würden. Meiner Vermutung nach liegt es evtl. daran, daß (neidische?) Mitbewerber von positiv bewerteten Firmen oder Geschäften, diese "melden" und Google diese dann deaktiviert. Eine genaue Begründung warum und was dazu führte gibt es bei Maps nicht! Seltsamerweise ist in der Medienwelt vergleichende Werbung nicht verboten - nur bei Google maps! Ein Wort zu "neidischen" oder missgünstigen Mitbewerbern: Versucht doch einfach besser zu sein als das bewertete Unternehmen oder Geschäft. Dann erhaltet auch ihr gute Bewertungen! Positiv bewertete Firmen einfach durch "Melden" anzuschwärzen ist meines Erachtens unterstes Niveau und keinesfalls seriösen Firmen würdig! Nachtrag: Deaktivierte Bewertungen wurden seitens Google nach einiger Zeit wieder aktiviert, da scheinbar, entweder ein Administrator oder der Algorithmus feststellte, daß doch nicht gegen Bestimmungen verstoßen wurde.

They block even 5/5 reviews if you complain about one negative thing. I suppose it's the owner who immediately has lawyers in place who will ask google to remove it if not confirmed. Poor Google

Peggio che peggio, fortuna che da Google dovrebbe esserci degli ingegneri fenomenali. Con l'app di google maps puoi tranquillamente fare un tragitto da 20 minuti di strada, in 30 minuti! L'app funziona talmente bene che ti fa prendere strade più lunghe ed evitare autostrade anche se non hai flaggato nessuna casella su 'opzioni di percorso'. 2023 ragazzi! È ora di dargli una rinfrescata a quest'app!
