Google maps got me lost again. It said go to bus stop D and catch the 24 or the 29. When I got there D only serves the 27. Being dyslexic and avoiding getting my phone out I got on the 27. It started in the right direction so I thought it was the right bus, but in the end it added half an hour to my journey. I checked on TFL and the 24 and 29 don’t go from stop D.

There is a wealth of information available on Google Maps; it helps with route planning, visits to stores and other places, and research of any other kind. The potential of Google Maps is huge. But where Google Maps fails, and fails abysmally, is in the accuracy of the information it includes. Users can add or change information. But some of the information that's been added is not accurate for various reasons. When other users attempt to correct it, Google Maps rejects the correction without explaining why. The same has happened when good faith edits of other kinds, despite being easily verifiable as accurate, are rejected without explanations. I've attempted edits; some relocate businesses to their correct location from locations that are clearly in areas where there is no human presence, despite the correct locations visible and verifiable using Google's own Street View. I've attempted other edits try to add other correct information, but some have failed with no explanation for the rejections. What that means is that the entire application of Google Maps cannot be relied upon. What a wasted effort.

Google è un motore di ricerca. Dove ormai risponde la demenza artificiale. Spesso da informazioni sbagliate. Non aggiorna. Ad esempio, leggi, guide ecc. Tutto rimasto a venti anni fa. Se si cerca qualcosa compaiono sempre gli stessi siti. Questo perché un tempo rimandava anche ad altri motori di ricerca, che adesso non esistono esistono più. È quindi si trova molto meno. E spesso sbagliato. Rimanda però a YouTube, dove li ci sono i soliti youtubers per fare soldi. Molto peggiorato

Positiv: „Google“ ist in der Tat die größte Internet-Suchmaschine und finanziert sich durch Anzeigen. Manche Bewertungen, z. B. in der Gastronomie, sind hilfreich, wobei man genau hinsehen muss, ob die Bewertung wirklich aufgrund eigener Erfahrung erstellt wurde. Negativ: 1. Aufgrund der Werbefinanzierung ergibt sich, dass bei jeder Suche vorrangig „gesponserte Inhalte“ zu sehen sind 2. Besonders undurchsichtig sind bei „Google“ die Bewertungs-Richtlinien – die Anwendung erinnert an die Unergründlichkeit der Romane von Franz Kafka, beispielsweise wurden zwei Fotos von mir (Alpenblumen!) mit der Begründung: „Dein Inhalt konnte aufgrund von Einschränkungen für das Posten, denen dieser Ort unterliegt, nicht veröffentlicht werden.“ Dsgl. wird eine 5-Sterne-Bewertung über einen Reparatur-Betrieb für Digitalkameras nicht hochgeladen (vielleicht, weil der Geschäftsinhaber nicht bei „Google“ Werbeanzeigen schaltet?). Mein Fazit : Die willkürliche Nichtveröffentlichung von selbst positiven Inhalten hat nichts mehr mit Netiquette etc. zu tun, sondern ist vermutlich eine reine Machtdemonstration dieses amerikanischen Konzerns. 3. Umgekehrt hat „Google“ keine Hemmungen, z. B. bezahlte Fake-Werbung für Nahrungsergänzungsmittel, dubiose Geldanlagen mit Prominenten wie Eckart von Hirschhausen, Markus Lanz, Sandra Maischberger u. v. m. hochzuladen. Das gleiche gilt für betrügerische Abo-Fallen. Ich hoffe. dass die EU standhaft bleibt und diese „Datenkrake“ zu Transparenz und der Einhaltung europäischer Verbraucherschutzrichtlinien verpflichtet!

Purtroppo spesso se si digita un indirizzo la mappa ti porta a tutt'altro (ad es digiti "via Topolino 1 - Topolinia" e ti porta a "via Topolino 5 - Topolinia" e anche se ti muovi sulla mappa non trovi il civico che cerchi). Inoltre diverse località non sono aggiornate a volte anche da 5 anni il che rende difficile capire dove effettivamente si trovi un edificio (ciò in considerazione del fatto che la vista è l'organo più utilizzato per rendersi conto dell'ambiente circostante).

Da due giorni, in seguito alle piogge nella prov. Di Como e monza/Brianza, non segnala strade chiuse. Non segnala code:ieri sera 24/9 in coda x 40 min alle 20 a Varedo non segnalata! È un momento difficile ma così non aiuta anzi....

Das ist eben Google: Ignorant, überheblich unfreundlich. Wir sind in Frankreich unterwegs und ärgern uns über jede Ansage, da falsch ausgesprochen. Nur ein Beispiel. Avenue de la plage (Strandallee). Der erste Teil wird amerikanisch verunziert, der 2. TEIL deutsch .. Was für eine Plage.

ich habe über die Jahre immer mal wieder eine Bewertung abgegeben. Wenn es mir besonders gut oder wenn es mir besonders schlecht gefallen hat. Ich habe mich immer gut ausgedrückt und mir Mühe gegeben. Leider wurden alle schlechten Bewertungen gesperrt. Das ist völlig unverständlich, da die Bewertungen ja eine Hilfe für andere sein sollen. auch andere Benutzer berichten von dieser Erfahrung. Ich werde jetzt jedenfalls keine mehr schreiben und mich nicht mehr daran orientieren.
