I ordered some five pocket pants and they were way off my actual size. No one has contacted me after this event. I contact them with no response.

This company's unique selling point offered so much promise. The ability to send them your measurements, and have them make you a pair of jeans exactly as you want, tailored to your exact specifications - and for a very reasonable price. Great! What a shame that they don't deliver on what they offer. I ordered a pair of jeans from them, with the intention of trying to get the perfect measurements for my size. When they arrived, it seemed like I hadn't got it right. No issue, I decided to order another pair, to get it a bit closer to perfection. And then when the second pair arrived, it seemed like I have over-corrected my measurements, and got them not quite perfect again. And so I tried again. And again. It was only after spending money on four pairs of jeans that I realized something was wrong - why did I apparently keep getting the measurements wrong?? So I started an email exchange with the company. Erica, from their customer services, admitted that they added a 'loosening allowance' to the measurements customers gave them, and so I asked them to tell me EXACTLY to what specification they had made each of the four pairs of jeans I had ordered. To my amazement, it turned out that they had been deviating from the measurements I had given them every time! An inch here, an inch there, sometimes making them longer then I asked for, sometimes bigger, sometimes shorter. sometimes slimmer. And in totally unpredictable ways - it was quite shocking to see the wild variance in their changes! At no point had they ever actually made the jeans that I had ordered! When I highlighted this to Erica, she tried blaming me, and telling me it was my fault. When I asked her what Makeyourownjeans proposed to do about the fact that they had taken a lot of money from me and not fulfilled any of my orders, she just ignored my emails. Terrible customer service - they take your money, make rubbish products and then try to blame you for their incompetence! It's a real shame - if Makeyourownjeans actually deliverded what they promised, I would probably keep on making orders from them! And based on the reviews here, it seems like lots of other people would also. Instead, I sincerely recommend you AVOID this lying, scamming, incompetent company.

At this point I would give this operator no stars as I'm in discussion with them to apply their promised discount on an order to replace one that arrived with a skin tight fit, zero comfort. Though they initially promised a 50% discount to re-order last week, now they tell me I will earn a gift certificate for a 3rd order. Who does that? At any rate, I will be pro-active in writing reviews if this is not addressed to the initial promise of 50% discount to re-order.

I placed an order for a jeans on Feb. 25 - as of now (April,01) I have neither received my pants nor any shipping info. The only email replies I got when I contacted them was "... your jeans is in production, we will notify the production departement ... ". I'm wondering, if they really produce garments. Update: By April 05 I recieved my jeans. I can now truly say: It's been an education! I have learned: 1. MYOJ take their time. 2. The measurements I gave them do not really match up with the measurements of the finished jeans (it arrived far too baggy. I have it altered to my fit by a local taylor here). 3. Not only did I have to pay 15 € in customs duty, but another 15 € in "commision" - this added another 30€ to the price of the jeans..... As the saying goes: You can make a mistake one time, only fools make the same mistake twice.

Do not use this company. I have sewn all of my life and know my way around a measuring tape. I took my measurements meticulously, and the jeans arrived too small. They haggled with me constantly my email until I put a hold on their payment through my credit card. They would not refund my money, so I paid for a worthless pair of jeans. Not cheap, either.

May have been partially my measurements, but the end result is basically anatomically not possible. Well, lesson learned. Seems like a good idea and to be fair I didn’t contact the company to return them as it is in Mumbai. Also didn’t realize this when I ordered. So between the UPS charges and duty I have a $150 pc of material. Maybe I’ll make it into a back pack?

I was a loyal customer for more than 10 years and have always been very pleased with the quality of their products, but this most recent order was a disaster and they won't make it right. The shorts are 4 inches smaller in the waist than what I ordered. i tried to communicate, but they won't listen. I wlll not be ordering again. Shame.
