A perfectly functional light becomes waste because of one plastic part
I purchased a Magicshine Monteer 1400 because I trusted a brand that appeared to stand for quality, durability, and sustainability, even though it was more expensive than many alternatives. After 6 years of working perfectly, a small plastic mounting part broke, making the light unusable for cycling. I contacted both technical support and the marketing department looking for a solution. I suggested several alternatives: advising whether any current adapter could be adapted to fit, providing the design or technical drawing of the part so I could 3D print it myself, or recommending any other technical solution that would allow me to continue using a light that still works perfectly. They have not helped me at all. They confirmed that no spare parts are available, offered no alternative solution, and the only proposal I received was a 20% discount code to purchase a new light. Personally, I prefer to support companies that are committed to repairability and extending the lifespan of their products. That is precisely why I chose Magicshine instead of cheaper alternatives. Today, I am disappointed with the response I received.

Your Monteer 1400 has been in service for around six years, and we sincerely appreciate your long-term support of Magicshine. Regarding the mounting part, unfortunately, as this product has been discontinued for many years, we no longer have spare parts or 3D design files available for this component. We understand this isn't the answer you were hoping for. If you have access to 3D printing and are comfortable designing replacement parts yourself, you may certainly try creating a compatible replacement. While we're unable to provide technical drawings or CAD files, we genuinely hope this could help extend the life of your light. We also truly appreciate your feedback regarding repairability and product longevity.
