Zack here, founder of Magic Nothing. We have no account or purchase matching this reviewer, and they didn't respond to Trustpilot's request for more information. So a couple of corrections for anyone reading: 1. Our courses are included with every account and have been since we moved them onto the platform, before this review was posted. They can't be overpriced because they don't have a price. 2. The listeners on our playlists are genuine. We run our own Meta Ads for our editorial playlists, and most of our curators run them for their own playlists. We also run bot detection on every playlist, pull streaming data straight from Spotify where we can, and remove curators who aren't acting in good faith. The removals are public and kept current at magicnothing.xyz/numbers. If you've actually used the platform and had a bad experience, email us directly at [email protected] and we'll be happy to look into it with you :)

Hey Melo, Zack here, I'm the founder of Magic Nothing. This is genuinely hard to read and I'm sorry you've had a rough experience. To be straight with you about how Magic Nothing works, every submission gets a guaranteed listen/review and consideration from a curator, but we don't guarantee placement and curators are responsible for their own placement decisions and maintaining the quality of their playlists. Curators earn the same whether they accept or pass, so nobody makes an extra cent by rejecting you. Each pass on a track comes with written feedback. I'd strongly suggest considering what's in that feedback, especially if there are patterns. If you do 10+ submissions, you can get a sense about what is or isn't resonating in your work. This is a huge (if not the biggest) value of honest curation. It's also the reason yes means anything. I'd like to dig into your account with you personally and go through the feedback together. Email me at [email protected] and I'll make the time. Thanks so much for giving us a shot!

Hey Pranav, Zack here, I run Magic Nothing. I hear you on price, and it's an intentional call. We pay our curators well above what high-volume platforms pay, which lets us hold them to a real standard instead of competing in a race to the bottom. You're paying for genuine, thoughtful curation. No bots, no auto-declines, no pay-for-placement. In your case all five playlists came back as passes, some with detailed notes on the track. I know that stings -- I'm an artist too and I've been on the receiving end of it plenty -- but that's curators being honest instead of rubber-stamping. My honest take is it's useful signal on where the song isn't landing yet, and a different song or different playlists next time can tell you a lot. We reached out by email to follow up but didn't hear back. That offer still stands. Reply to that thread or email me directly at [email protected] and I'll handle it personally. Thanks for giving us a shot! Zack

Hi Luuk, Zack here, founder of Magic Nothing. I'm sorry the experience didn't match your expectations, and I'm sorry it took me too long to see and respond to this. Let me address it directly now. How tokens work: they pay curators to listen to and consider your track, not for guaranteed placement. This is how every legitimate playlist pitching platform operates, because Spotify's terms don't permit guaranteed placement. What we do refund: if a curator doesn't review within 72 hours, tokens auto-return. Beyond that, declined submissions aren't refunded because the curator did the work of listening and giving feedback. That said, 'we should communicate the model more clearly upfront' is fair feedback I'm taking seriously. I'd like to look at your specific campaign personally, please email [email protected] and I'll dig in myself. - Zack P.S. a note for anybody else reading this: I highly recommend curating and promoting your own playlists instead of only pitching to them. This is the most reliable way to build real placement leverage as an artist, and it has LOTS of value for you (it becomes a flexible asset, you can earn tokens to spend on promo/pitching, etc). I built Magic Nothing specifically to support Artist/Curators doing this and pitching to each other!
